Just to update everyone: I still have a pending charge on my CC but no change in the order status (or actual charge posted to my card). Still "processing" on my 12/22 order as of this AM...:(

Same as you. 12/22 order, and I've had a pending charge since saturday AM but still says "processing" on the site. How have people been waiting to go from a pending charge to preparing for shipment?

Got my shipping email today. Estimated delivery 1/23.

My 1/1 order, estimated delivery of 1/23, arrived this morning. Of course, I'm out of town. Apple's doing a good job of at least creating the appearance of exceeding expectations on the shipping end.

I ordered my iMac with the wireless keyboard but I'm thinking, after using my brother's and the keyboard on my sister's MacBook Pro, that I want to keep the numeric pad and the larger footprint wired keyboard that I currently use on my older iMac. Is this going to set me back in the processing/shipping line? Ugh...

As long ads its processing , I think you can change it. Call them.

I love my wireless keyboards...but you can use your current keyboard with your new one.

Mine is supposed to be getting delivered tomorrow (22 Jan, was 23 Jan originally).

I just hope that the pathetically small amount of snow that the UK has had, won't affect the delivery. It annoys and pi***s the hell out of me everytime we have a relatively small amount of snow here in the UK that it brings the country to a virtual standstill :mad:

I agree, mine is due on thursday but i hope this snow doesnt delay it anymore!

I have read here how some have tracked their iMac from Shanghai all the way to their home via FedEx. I was wondering if anyone has done it with UPS on a unit heading to Canada (destination Vancouver). My "Baby" left Shanghai and has made it to Osaka Japan. I'd like to know if I can track the flight once it leaves there? Also does anyone know if it lands in Vancouver or goes all the way back east before heading back out west?

For example, when you check the Fedex site and it says:

In transit
SHANGHAI CN

It means your package is on a flight out of China. You can go here: http://flightaware.com/ and type in airline 'FedEx' and 'Shanghai to Anchorage'.

You can do this for any route. (obv. before it shows the next arrival scan)

I am going to guess that yes, your computer will go to Memphis first, as I am in SoCal and it did the same. However it was actually moot, as the Anchorage flight and Memphis flight were in the same day, and the Memphis to California the next day.

----------

wow, did that work for you?

I'm just annoyed because I was first told by Apple via the reseller that it would reach the store middle January, then got delayed to 23rd of January, now it's delayed to 31st of January and that's only a tentative date.

I mean, it may sound really retarded, but hey, if Apple isn't going to honour a FCFS or first in best dressed policy, then they should let resellers know instead of putting customers through a long period of wait with no end in sight.

Yes. I called and politely asked as to the status. The first call (D Day + 20) I asked, "is there anything you can do to get it to me faster when it does finally ship?"

The second call, D Day + 27, I asked if there were any updates since my last call and if she had any ideas what was up, telling her that two of my friends and colleague's had received their computers days ago having ordered a week later then me. Again 'Is there anything you can do for me?"

Just be a breath of fresh air to the CS agent. These people are getting hammered with ******s demanding to know the status or blaming them for things beyond their (and Apple's) control; the nicer and more understanding you are, they too will be. It's clear they have the power to compensate callers w/ both after some period of time.

However, (to others) personally, if it has only been two weeks, then don't be an ass and just wait in line like the rest of us. Maybe you'll get lucky, and maybe you won't. But you knew it would be probably be about a month when ordering.

Good luck!

FedEx just left. China to Anchorage to Memphis to SoCal in 48 hours. That's crazy. If you do the math my iMac traveled over 150 miles an hour this entire weekend.

It actually TIED the Superdrive which was shipped a day before, from 115 miles away. Wow.

Not sure how that'll impact your ship date. I like the wireless keyboard, but I've got a bluetooth numeric pad that I'll use if I should find I want a number pad down-the-road.

Yeah, I could, but I'm selling my old iMac to a friend. I guess I could give him the new wireless one but I want a new keyboard with my brand new giant.

I'll call Apple and see, hopefully it doesn't affect anything since it's just a keyboard, not a built in part.

Well this is lucky. I contacted Apple today to make sure there wasn't anything wrong with my credit card and they gave me a free USB Superdrive since it's been so long.

Then, when I checked my bank account online, I discovered that they charged me  which means the ball should be rolling soon. Right now the store indicates I'm still Processing but I expect that to change very soon now.

*Happy Dance*

Edit: This order was placed on the 28th of December. See thread for details of my order.

You are so right! It doesn't help to be a jerk. (although, in my case, it didn't help to be a sweetheart either! ) You catch more flies with honey, after all!

It's here! I was a little concerned as it never showed "out for delivery" for today, but it is here. Now it sits on my desk teasing me. It's -25C/-13F outside so it needs a long time to warm up before I can play.

I have updated the GoogleDocs spreadsheet.

No update on TNT tracking info

Hi

My iMac was shipped 19th, I have been given a last date of 24th of January. I look at the TNT tracking site, and it hasn't been updated since Saturday:
19 Jan 2013 18:01:44 Pudong International Airport Shipment In Transit.
19 Jan 2013 17:31:17 Pudong International Airport Shipment Received At Tnt Location
19 Jan 2013 17:28:00 Shanghai Shipment In Transit.
19 Jan 2013 17:26:16 Shanghai Shipment In Transit.
19 Jan 2013 17:19:12 Shanghai Shipment Collected From Customer

Should I be worried? Final destination is western Sweden.

Thanks for the info but as stated mine iMac is coming by way UPS and not FedEx. So that really won't help with the flight tracking. Also noticed that the iMac went from Shanghai to Osaka Japan and now has just arrived in Anchorage Alaska. I still don't know where it goes from there? To somewhere back east? Somewhere down south? If I knew the next leg I could track it easily. :)

The hub for UPS is in Louisville, Kentucky. Mine went China, Alaska, Kentucky, Alaska, Kentucky, Seattle, Vancouver, Calgary, Winnipeg. The two trips to Kentucky and Alaska are not typos it really did go there and back twice!

Mine just arrived in Anchorage as well, I'm hoping (as long as mine doesn't go on the same round-a-bout route that yours took) that it might be here tomorrow or Wednesday...

I ordered on 12/27 - it is still "processing" with a pre-authorization on my card as of 1/17. I am getting disgusted with how long this is taking. I thought when I saw that authorization on 1/17 it would go to "preparing to ship" withing 24 hours....no such luck. I'm still in "processing" HELL:mad:

Mine was ordered on the same day yours was (27th).

They charged my card on the 17th.....same as yours.

It went to "Preparing to Ship" yesterday morning and then shipped last night.......I am on Fedex crossing the Pacific as I type this post.

You will see movement on your machine very quickly.......once the card is charged the "action" starts to take place.

Hang in there.
