Since it's a visual OS - yeah - looks are everything. Please don't kid yourself. I agree with what you're saying and understand it but again, iOS is all about the visuals. Hence the whole reason everyone was bitching about skeuphamorism or whatever the hell made up word it was last year that nobody ever knew about until some journalist made that **** up.

Thats only because skeuomorphism actually hindered functionality by being a total eye sore when you were in the app. Looking at app icons is just strictly what you look at before you even going the app with actual functionality.

Couldnt disagree more. Widgets are entirely useful. It should not require mutiple presses to change commonly used settings.

Personally, I enjoy drop shadows and 3D effects. The current designs do not bother me at all, I just wish they were a little more consistent. It would be nice to have an option to select a skin across the Apps for a bit of personalization.

What would be really nice is the ability to hide Apple Apps that I do not use.

Several times a day. Different people do things differently.

Most commonly, I go into Settings both to turn wifi on/off and to adjust brightness. I use Flashlight as a hack to adjust brightness, but it sure would be nice to have more ready/reliable access to it.

How come no other websites or, "sources" confirm the mockup? IF someone at Apple were to have shown anything, I am sure they would have shown more than one news outlet...

Flat design

I have liked Apple's effort of design changes in OS X starting Lion. But I would be terribly disappointed if they make OS X look like Windows. I have always loved realistic icons in OS X. If they drop them, I'll have to stick with ML

They're not happening. People don't even use them in OS X, what makes you think they'll be useful in iOS?

Boy oh boy, that looks like those cheapo mp4 players from years ago with the worst touchscreens on the face of this planet, 99% laggy and impossible to navigate.

Seriously, all icons look HORRIBLE (the only one that's slightly okay is the App Store icon). Looks cheap. Bad, very bad mockup. I hope.

Really liking the idea of the black or "night mode"
iUse it alot in iBooks with the white on black and find myself "replicating" the idea in safari and messages when using my phone in a dark room-
iDo this by toggling the "invert colours" option

As a result iHave less bright whites on screen and personally find it alot easier on the eyes- esp when the room is really dark

Overall prefer white text on black back so yea id appreciate that little feature- especially if it worked with the ambient light sensor

Please bring back the downvote button so I can use it for no other reason that your use of "iDo this by..."

Tech sites would show a leaked screen shot if they were fairly confident it was legit. But I doubt they'd show another websites crappy mockup based on an early beta they claim they had access to.
