Mine says departed from Oakland heading to So Cal. That was at 3 pm on the 22nd. Still no update. Simple tracking shows it arrived at LAX ramp at 11 pm. But no update at that. I'm not sure what to think if it will arrive today or not.

Destination sort facility

both my phones show eta's of today (one before 10:30 one before 3) and neither have been updated since about 3 this morning. One of them (from AT&T) has a status update saying it departed dallas at 3:41, that plane landed in chicago around 5:30 so I can only assume it is still on track. According to FedEx - the 10:30 phone is at the dest sort facility still
We have to remember that there are several hundred thousand iphones being shipped today that it a lot of packages to introduce to an already crowed delivery system. Basically, it would make sense for the tracking to be off by several hours.
My eta has nt changed on either phone since they shipped so I am reasonably sure I will them both sometime today just like I think everyone with that date in the system will also see delivery as well.

well i called fedex and spoke to a lady named "ria". she stated that apple doesnt want them delivered till tomorrow and i will NOT be getting it today. she said its "in a container" and there is no way id get it today i stated that some people are getting them but she said i will not be. its arrived at destination sort facility, which is a 2 hour drive from me and it arrived there at 1048 pm last night

Did you get the email about early delivery? If it makes you feel any better, I'm pretty sure I'm in the same boat.This guy should give us hope. His said at dest sort facility yet he got it today:

This is precisely what I predicted would happen yesterday in the AT&T status thread and was shouted down by everyone. I gave in with the reports of people getting their devices yesterday and went ahead and stayed home today. I am going to be pissed if I was right and let the masses influence me.

I recently received the iPad camera kit (shipped from China) and the Fedex delivery history had it leaving Memphis, TN at the same time my iPhone shows leaving Memphis. It arrived the same day it left Memphis and I live in Maryland. So, maybe the status isn't current because of the shipping volume.

It was the same thing with my iPad last week. Came a day early, and only ever said 'arrived at sort facility' and was delivered.

I called Fed Ex this morning and she told me I was like the 20th person to call about this. She told me that I will not be getting it today. It's not due to be delivered till tomorrow by 4:30. She told me they are holding them back till tomorrow. This is in MA.

Check simpletracking.com to see if yours left Franklin. Mine did at 5am. I hope she isn't right
Rather amusing (not) how Apple says one thing and FedEx another although I'm assuming that the reps answering the calls don't know sh** from apple butter because no communication was likely sent to them.
I think it's more likely -- like every other Apple release -- that they did NOT break release date and that everyone will get theirs tomorrow sans a few screw ups that we saw yesterday.
Apple doesn't break release dates. Apple also doesn't send out emails rife with spelling and punctuation errors.

same for me - simpletracking says it left the franklin ramp at 5:30 am, fedex shows it arrived at franklin and hasn't left. this is pretty frustrating
