If you ask nicely, I can now grep the raw apache logs and post those. But they're just text files too, easily faked so I'm not sure what that would prove.
OK, I decided not to wait and grepped the apache logs anyway. Here are the raw log entries complete with UDIDs. What does this prove? Who knows. But there appears to have been two different "iProd"s and just one touch running 4.0.

Well yeah you might want to wait but, iPhone hardware has previously only seen releases in June.

Whatever I would wait until after next weeks announcements. But I don't expect iPhone hardware at this point.

"Update: Though the email in question unambiguously stated that the company had developed an app “for the new iPhone OS 4.0 software,” iLounge contacted the developer for clarification and learned that the reference was a mistake: the app is now “version 4.0” released for iPhone OS 3.1, the developer has offered “sincere apologies.”

Seriously, how can you make such a big mistake when writing a press release? I just don't believe this was a mistake. I think Apple has contacted the developer for issuing such a press release and to cover up the truth they say it all has been a mistake.

Topic should be updated, however.
