Did you order to have one shipped @ ATT store?

Hi All,

Well I got there and no iphones... so the guy said he could order me one but it would probably be 3-4 weeks for a 16 gig black, did anyone else select to have one ordered? Same time frame?

The apple store 45 min from me says it's still available I don't know what to do? Are those CDF orders cancel able?

I got mine ordered around 10:00am (EST) this morning and she said 7-10 days. I went back this evening because I was on that side of town and asked if they get more stock do they go to walk-ins and we have to wait, or do they go to those who ordered and she said they thought about that this afternoon and that they'll go to those of us who ordered already.

My rep was very capable and very cute. When I get my iPhone I'll have to ask her if her number comes preloaded and if not can I get it!;)

i ordered a 16gb black through the at&t store today she told me 3-5 days possibly sooner.

but after reading other post im kinda thinking i should shouldnt have ordered it

they didnt charge me for shipping...i wish i knew you could pay extra for faster shipment

Hello fellow Lynchburgian. Went to the same AT&T store as you. Sorry to say that any phones that come in don't go to those who ordered first. (Which is what I was hoping for, only seemed fair to me) Your ordered phone will come in with your name on the shipping label, and they aren't allowed to give you any other phone. This is what we were told by that stores manager. They honestly couldn't tell us when they will come in either, but they are hoping between 5 to 7 days. Stinks, but after waiting in line this morning, we didn't want to drive all the way to Richmond and risk them being out too. Looks like Richmond is going to have stock tomorrow though.

My hubby does agree with you on the girl though, he saw her today as well and said she is a cutie. ;)

I ordered mine tonight around 8:00 PM in Ann Arbor, MI. They told me 7-10 days. That is how I did the original iPhone, too. Of course that one came to the house instead of going to the store since I could activate it myself. My local Apple Store lists them as in stock for tomorrow. Because of the FAN discount I am waiting.

I arrived at the AT&T store with my son at 7am this morning and we were numbers 23 and 24 in a line of about 50 people. We got in the door at 10am after a long wait because of itunes running very slow and it taking forever to activate a phone. We got the last two 16gb black phones in stock and they were taking orders after us and were telling everyone the phone would be in on Monday. I went to work and after work at about 7pm I went to the Apple Store in the local Mall to get some accessories and there was a line of about 100 people. The sales guy in the store said the line was at the shortest it had been all day. He said they had plenty of phones and would not run out of any of the models. So it seems that AT&T held back some phones to get demand up but the Apple Stores will have plenty. The AT&T guy said the phones would be shipped from their warehouse in Memphis and that there were plenty of them at that warehouse.

i just checked the icare e-mail that was sent to me from att when i checked all the order information It said the order was "IN Progress"....and it also said that my credit card would be charged until the order was shipped...and my card was charged? Does this mean it was shipped....Any one else get this or check their order status

where do you check the order status at? (stupid question maybe??:confused:)

in the email it says at the bottom check status HERE or call, if you click it send you to an att web page you type in the order number and the shipping zip code and it brings you to a tracking page of your order

Well that's really depressing. But another Lynchburgian here (Lynchburger? I'm not sure what we're supposed to be called), no way!

And what time were you there? I arrived around 9:30am. I have brown hair and a beard.

I was able to check on line as well but even though it says "In Progress" look at the Back Ordered column, you will find number 1 in that column

Whenever I enter the order number to check it redirects me to the main wireless screen?!

more than likely because the page is timing out and the page is set to redirect when time out.

Everybody and their grandmother is checking their status right now.

if your using the order number on your receipt, try using the last 5 digits... and the zip code of the AT&T store you order the iPhone from. This is because the iPhone is being shipped to the AT&T store and not to you directly.
