These last couple of days have been killing me. When I was like 110 on the que I never checked my status. Now I feel as though I am being punished because it seems like they are shipping phones at a snails place.
Hey all. 'Been reading this thread for a while in anticipation of the arrival of my iPhone. Thanks for all the good info--thought I'd contribute:
Just saw that mine was shipped out today (the only one from my store), and will be delivered tomorrow by 3pm. I ordered a 16gb black on the 16th and was quoted 10-21 days. Although AT&T kept their word, it still felt like forever.
Where it gets interesting, however, is that I was able to purchase another 16gb iPhone (in white) from the Apple Store at the discounted rate ($300) on the same phone number. So tomorrow should be very interesting in whether or not I make it out of AT&T with my black iPhone without paying an additional $200. I figure it'll be worth a shot...

I am currently 138 in my queue and only two phones have shipped today from my location. I ordered the phone 7/26/08. Interesting thing, however, is that the phone is no longer backordered, but the freight (I'm assuming that's what "FRT" is), is still backordered. Maybe this means they're having shipping problems of some sort? Also could have to do with their point of sale system being down. Maybe they are waiting until the system is back up and running before they ship.
That's just how it goes. FRT won't go to 0 until it ships. Meanwhile, watch the phone backorder switch from 1 to 0 and back as you move up in the queue.
Don't feel too bad. I have been #1 on my queue since last Wednesday!!! Yesterday phone and sim both switched to 0. I thought it was a good sign - that's the first time both showed 0.
Woke up this morning and cheked the status - both are back to 1. Very frustrating to be #1 in the queue for this long and no phone gets shipped. I just don't get it. I'd feel better if I wasn't #1 in the queue, but it's just crazy.
My phone is delivering today by 3pm. Sadly, though, my mom, the primary account holder, will be working today... I'll pick it up first thing wednesday haha.
Back on backorder. Again. My store was only shipped 2 phones yesterday.

I'm in the same boat. Unfortunately, mine didn't ship and I'm back on backorder for now.
No queue jumps either.I went up 1 spot. Another person, that was number 10 in my queue went to shipped from yesterday. I gotta believe that is another 8 gb phone going out. I am betting the 9 ahead of them are all 16 gb black, but who really knows?
unfortunately, I have only found one other person from Reno that ordered at the same store, and they ordered after me and got the 16 gb black. So, I will not be able to tell from what they ordered if I am going to be sooner or later in the ship lane.

What day did you order? The queue is only a rough idea of where you are. It mostly goes by date. So, if you ordered at a small store there would be few orders but they might be days apart. As far as I know, only white phones have shipped after 7/17. There's stillI'm guessinga 16GB in front of me waiting from 7/16.

I'm confused. Last night when I went to bed (at 5am), I was still #2 in the queue, still 0 under backorder, and AT&T had put a new hold on my credit card. I was sure that meant it shipped, but I awaken today and I'm back on 1 under backorder and still at #2 in the queue.

I'm still at #8 in line and no changes i only show 2 iphones shipped out yesterday and i'm on backorder today, AT&T must be catching up with all the other stores first since i'm at a smaller store i'll probably be sitting in the top #'s for a while.

I'm so frustrated with the AT&T store I ordered my iPhone from. I ordered it on the 16th, and it shipped on the 25th. FedEx showed me it was delivered to the store yesterday and I was all excited to pick it up after work. Unfortunately, the salesman at the store told me the phone hadn't been processed and I wouldn't be able to pick it up until today. I questioned the salesman several time on why it couldn't be processed while I waited in the store. I never got a good answer and I left the store in a nerdy huff.
Well I just called the store and asked if it had been processed yet (yesterday's salesdude said it would be ready by 11:00 AM central time) and he told me my original salesman was off work today and he would have to finish the sale tomorrow. I told him that was not an option and he told me he'd try to call the saleman in to complete my transaction. I can't believe no one else in the store can sell me my phone. This is insane!

I too was hopeful. I ordered on the 18th though, but I was first on the 18th so maybe I'll get shipped more like a 17th order. I'm still on backorder from this morning.
My store has shipped 4 phones today, and I've moved to 8th. One each from the 15th and 16th remain, and the rest are from the 17th. I hope that at least we're off backorder tonight. The fact that there's still someone on my list from the 15th scares me a little bit.
You'll need to be able to check on the status page. Then the instructions are back a few pages. Basically log on to a queue site (or download the php) like herebethedragons.com/queue.php. It's pretty self explanatory.

Ordered a White 16GB iPhone on Friday (7/25), shipped 7/28, to be delivered on 7/30. ATT store, Citrus Heights, CA.
There are 111 people in front of me to have yet had their phones shipped, including one ordered on 7/15. I can only assume that all of these are Black iPhones.
