Did you order to have one shipped @ ATT store?

5 more phones shipped to the store on 17th & 6th in NYC.

I've moved up to #6!

I'm crossing my fingers that I can get this before I go away for the weekend on Friday.
 
breaking news - phone actually arrives

My 16g black iphone shipped today from Fort Worth - I ordered on 7/17 at the 6th ave & 17th st. store in NYC.

So either I'll be :D or :eek: very soon, depending on if those horror stories about ATT network are true, or the yellow screens, or the lousy battery life, or any of the other pitfalls I've read about obsessively on these boards.

Or maybe I'll get a halfway decent phone that I really love? :cool:
Here's hoping!

weird...i ordered mine on the 16th from the store in times square and i haven't gotten mine yet...first in queue at the store as well...

Was there some crazy chick complaining when you were there? i ordered around 12:30

Still didn't get my phone shipment though. 16GB black ordered 7/18 @ ATT 6th & 17th. Fingers crossed!
 
Still 6th in the queue at the ATT 79th and Broadway store... order 16 G black on 7/17, around 9:15 am....

the stupid list thing says they've only shipped 2 there in the last week. How is that possible?
 
^What iphone queue are you using? tryin looking at order numbers after yours...you'll be surprised to see how many iphones have been shipped

Sigh, you're right... dozens and dozens have shipped who were after me... must be all 8s and white 16s...

back to being zen about it... or trying to anyway.
 
I am well into day No. 4 as No. 4 in the queue with no movement whatsoever. I ordered the afternoon of 7/17.

WTF?! I'm happy for you that your phone shipped, but I don't see why it shipped before mine (16GB black ordered on the 16th).

Unless you are a very patience person, I think it's not worth it to DF a 16GB black. You are looking at a 10-21 day wait. I know us ATT FAN customers are in a bad situation because we cannot get it from Apple without first calling ATT up to cancel the FAN but most of us do not want to go to the hassle of canceling and readding the FAN and going to the Apple store.

If you've ordered a DF black 16GB recently (within the past week), it's pointless to keep checking everyday. You know there's a delay.

The white 16GB are the way to go if you want to DF. I ordered Sunday, it shipped out today, will have it on Wednesday. This is the 3rd White iPhone I've gotten. Also got a black 16GB (that took 10 days to obtain (ordered July 13, obtained on July 23rd) and I barely have touch it. I actually like the white iPhone more.

How'd you get yours so early? There's someone at my store waiting from the 15th. You're quite lucky.

Yours will probably ship soon. You shouldn't bother with the queue. It won't really apply to you.

Yeah, that's strange. I heard something about it being a lottery, but I'm not sure how true that is. It is pretty crappy to do anything of that sort to customers. As for me, I'm still riding 8th with backorder at 1. What happened to the way it was last week? :(
 
I called the AT&T store where I placed my order and she said that the order status page will really only show information once an order has shipped. It doesn't give much information in the meantime.

Whether this is true or not, I don't really care to pursue it with AT&T. I'm just going to be patient. :)
 
Ordered black 16GB on 7/16, received it today (NYC). This is an "upgrade" from original iPhone. Walked out of ATT store with my new phone after being told that it would take a few minutes for the network to "catch up" with my new phone/sim. Two hours later I have no working phone....ugh.

EDIT: Just off the phone with ATT support. Evidently their is a "trouble report" on my line. They don't know why or how long it will take to fix. Keep in mind that I walked in to the ATT store with a working first-gen iPhone, wanting only to move the same number to the new 3G. Now I have nothing. I am amazed by their incompetence. AMAZED.

It's all pretty useless. The only things one can figure out are their position in line at the store (which doesn't really matter, but gives a rough estimate of how things are moving) and whether or not the warehouse has the type of phone you ordered (when backorder is 0).

You can also use the queue checker to find other people in front of you that haven't shipped, and if they're not backordered while you are, you can find out if they ordered a different phone by process of elimination. Of course in my case, everyone else is backordered too.

True. You know, people I know considers me to be this emotional rock who doesn't worry about things beyond his control, so I can't help but laugh at myself for obsessing like this. There's a small part of me which wants to walk out of the store and stomp on my new iPhone (whenever it comes) just to make a point to myself about material possessions. Something tells me I'll repress that urge though.
 
Well without AT&T's help, I was able to check the status using that herebethedragons site and my receipt. It has the order number on it, so I entered that.

I'm 14 right now :D
 
Has anyone figures out the codes when looking at the que for a certain AT&T store. Currently i'm #26 (started out at #155) and i noticed that 13 phones shipped out today (29th). They have different codes next to them:

FDE51 2 PHONE
F 2 PHONE
FDE11 2 PHONE

anyone know if they represent the 3 different 3G models? And if so, which is which?
