god i dont know if id be buying iPhones every 2 years if i had to pay full retails price.

If you're buying it through a cellular upgrade plan, you ARE paying full retail price. It's no secret that carriers traditionally jacked up the price of their plans to carry the price of subsidizing the iPhone (and then some).

If you're on such a plan, your carrier would like nothing more than for you to keep using your old phone.

Hmmm, wait i've been paying 30 bucks a month since the iPhone 3GS for my data/cellular plan.

if i dont use a cellular upgrade my plan gets cheaper? Im still grandfathered in through AT&T unlimited data (but its not like i use more than 2GB of data anyways)

You have a cell plan that's $30 a month AND let's you buy a phone every 2 years for $199?!? Or is it a second line?

So did your phone bend? Can't see why else you would rant about this and demand Apple insert titanium bars into iPhones. Reading all these bending threads will drive you crazy! I don't see this as a widespread issue.

If my 6 bends from normal use (normal, not from sitting on it, etc) then I'll definitely post about it and drop by that comical one of nine blog.

same line. but i am part of a family plan. I'm not sure if that makes it cheaper. but it was only 2 people from the beginning.

and it was $30 form then onwards. LOL the ATT sales guys do try to get us to change it but we just deny them every time to their dismay

I ordered two of them for my brother and myself.

Why I asked this question..... is to see what you would do if it "bends"?

I'm not talking about Unboxyherapy style bending. I'm talking about even the slightest bend from keeping it in your front pocket as I have done with every previous phone. (If you don't believe a phone....any phone....should be kept in a front pocket....well, we should all weep for humanity and it's future.)

From the other "bending" threads, it seems like half the people tell the OP he deserves the bend while the other half tell the OP to return it.

As an iPhone user since the "1G", if it bends, it's completely unacceptable. I've had my iPhone 5 since it's release, and I absolutely love it. The only issue I've ever had with it was the battery not holding charge which was fixed after swapping it out.

Starting with even the "1G" iPhone, I've never worried about what would happen to the phone if I put it in my pocket where it belongs. I love the iPhone and everything that goes with it.

I've tried android phones and they're not even close to how great the iPhone ecosystem is. As people have said before, "everything just works."

People in other threads have said, "if you're worried about bending it, don't get it, or return it."

For dropping over $1k on a phone, no one should have to worry about it only lasting a week before it "bends."

Hey, if my iPhone 6+ had a slight bend after using it for 2years like I use my iPhone 5, honestly I wouldn't really care.

But if Apple thinks it's ok for the non 1%'ers to spend $1k on a phone which will structurally be compromised after a week or, even after one month......well that part, I'll leave up to you guys as to what should happen?

The 6+ bends at the point where the steel insert which was installed to keep the phone from bending in the fist place?

Apple, man the ******* up, tell people to being their phones in, and insert an extended titanium bar that runs past the volume buttons and solves the issues.

It took apple forever to admit to "antennagate," I'm sure more people (not sheeple, but people who value integrity lik myself) would have had a lot more respect for Apple vs. telling people they're holding it wrong.

The fact that even if I continue to use the iPhone 5 because I don't want to deal with the iPhone 6 issues, Apple will eventually force iPhone5 users to to buy new hardware, by discontinuing support for it (like the "current" iPhone 3G which can only updated to iOS 4.)

We all know you like to control everything, and keep your ecosystem running smooth, which is all fine and dandy. iOS and it apps are great for sure. But eventually you force people to upgrade to a newer device to continue using your awesome ecosystem. The issue really is, no one should be forced to upgrade if you provide inferior products to us. Is it not called an "upgrade" for a reason?

I apologize to anyone for the rant, and I will honestly say I hope nothing ever happens to my 6+ because it's amazing for sure. Unfortunately, I don't believe this will be the reality though.

All my life i lived by a code: honor the contract, love your phone, and defend apple products.

This case is only 15$. Looks good and protects well. Many nice cases are in that price range.

It might offer ok protection, but IMHO it takes away from the overall slim look of the 6 Plus and makes it appear too bulky. I don't see the point in having a nice, slim looking device like the 6 Plus if I have to put a bulky looking case on in order to protect it.

Paid full retail, thats around $1025 including tax (128GB 6 Plus).

I use it in a case thats more minimalistic but makes it easier to hold (more grip). Wouldn't say it offers best protection but doesn't add much more to the size of the phone and still looks nice.

I see your point but thinness doesn't mean as much to me like it does to Apple. My phone being seriously protected gives me piece of mind. To be honest with you, I'm all about using the phone than the way it looks.

So....then what if I have both a big @&ck and an iPhone 6+ in my tight pants? What happens then? Lol. But yes, with AppleCare I did pay more than $1000 for my phone, and with normal use it hasn't bent. I keep it in a waist pouch mostly, but sometimes in a front pocket. It's been fine.

With phones this thin, I'm not sure there is any way to avoid bending with a good amount of pressure. I'm not an engineer, but I don't even know if a titanium bar thin enough to go inside the phone would really make any difference. Other than using cheap plastic that can bend back into shape, I don't know what the answer would be, and I really don't want a nice phone made out of cheap plastic.

Solution is simple: jump the sinking ship! If you chain yourself to Titanic, you gonna sink with it. Don't chain yourself to any ship. Build a workflow that makes you independent of any hardware/ecosystem. For me, it was separating phone and general computing. I now have a prepaid cheap phone (Nokia 520) that also doubles as an excellent offline map/navigator. For data, I have a hotspot, so I have WiFi that always with me and I can use it with any device without even thinking about it. This frees me to use any computing device I want, from any manufacturer. I can have devices for specific purposes, for example, a $50 android tablet permanently in the car just for navigation.

I paid $500 for my 6+ 128GB. Then I told Verizon to go pound sand and I'm making T-Mobile pay my ETF. :D

Having paid $800 myself, I think it depends on how customer service responds and why. If the phone just bent from being in my pocket and they refused to do anything about it, I'd probably never buy an Apple product again.

I mean, imagine it this way - what if you were playing games on your laptop, and for whatever reason it turned out that regular gaming caused damage and apple refused to honor the warranty for damage caused by overheating?

It is definitely a manufacturer's defect if they do not design something to be used for the purpose they advertise it for.
