I wish you could pick a future delivery date. I will be gone until October 3rd and had to just keep trying until to finally said the week of October 6th.
There is a good chance it will ship before that though, if you're ordering this far in advance.

For example, in the US, people with a Sept. 25 delivery date have been getting emails this afternoon updating their delivery date to Sept. 19.

Yes, US order thru Apple.
I now foresee myself repeatedly checking my delivery date, for my 8:09 ET order through Apple. :) Hopefully they push up the delivery dates here in Canada too. 🤞

I went ahead and preordered even though I talked so much ish about these new designs 😂

I was pre-approved as part of the iPhone upgrade program, was in the store the second it opened up, and my 512 blue Pro immediately showed 9/25 as a delivery. I'm hoping to get one of those emails saying it's coming earlier, but it's ok, I can wait another week.

I just got an alert that the shipping date for my 256GB iPhone 17 Pro in Cosmic Orange has changed to 9/19 launch delivery. For reference, I ordered it at about two minutes past preorder open and it said it would arrive 9/25. Did they have a glitch in their system or what?

It’s funny how a lot of these devices are showing available for in-store pick up and I can’t help but believe that this is a tactic. Apple is using to make people lineup at the store and it looked like there are more buyers and they really are.

It’s free advertising.

Doesn’t change the fact that this year’s lineup is pretty mediocre at best

If the air had come out with a silicon battery, then that energy dense phone would’ve been a lot more well received.

Probably next year’s upgrade
Or there was a simple glitch and those 9/25 will be moved to 9/19?

Those with the updated Sept. 19 delivery dates (changed from Sept. 25), are your orders still processing, or are they now preparing to ship already?

Won’t preorder. Still waiting on reviews to see how long the battery can last in the Air before I pull the trigger.
I'm using the 14-day trade-in ship window to determine that. As an aside, I just placed my pre-order for a black Air delivery just now (7:15pm CDT) and still got a 9/19 delivery date.

Years ago delivery dates jumped weeks or even months within a hour or two of the pre-order start time. Less than expected demand? Increased supply? Does it really matter?

Indeed but where I am in Canada, I can pick up almost every iPhone on September 19… I’m not surprised, the upgrade is not huge for many people and many don’t have a lot of money too…

I've traded in my previous phone the past two years at the Apple Store but not at the same time I picked up my new phone. Unless something has changed since last year, you have 2 weeks to do so.
I just looked at my order and the trade in instructions say to bring the phone to turn it in. Do I have the option not to do that?

As of right now delivery in my country is around 3rd to 10th October for the orange 17 Pro Max. Planning to order one soon. The base 17 is still available for launch day

Who's Apple been shipping with lately in the US (UPS, FedEx)? Also, I think I recall that all US-bound iPhone 17 variants were made in India this year, so it will be interesting to track them.

Here in Germany literally all combinations of color and storage are 3 weeks delayed (8 Oct) for the 17 (also for the white Air) and 4 weeks (15 Oct) for the Pro and Pro Max...intense.

Watch is using UPS. My label is already made.
