If it still has vega 20 graphics I won’t get it, if it has Navi I’m getting it

Look I posted before people start to complain about not having a 17" version. Yay!
Yup!
But sadly, your post wasn’t in before people could get themselves worked into a froth... complaining vehemently about the price that they made up in their heads (presumably, just so they would have something to get angry about).

Lord Sidious would have a blast channeling all the rage and hatred these seething people carry around all day- desperate for a target of their ire!

I need a new computer and I’m waiting for this one to be announced before making the plunge, even though I’m concerned about buying Gen 1 of anything Apple.

This is the keyboard description for the current MBPs on Apple.com:

"The MacBook Pro keyboard has a butterfly mechanism — providing four times more key stability than a traditional scissor mechanism, along with greater comfort."

I wonder what the keyboard description will be for this new 16" scissor keyboard?

Yea whatever we'll see what you'll be saying when it is released at a starting base price of $2,999.99

What price it is released at is irrelevant. My point still stands. You can’t guarantee anything, and what is an absurd price to you may not be to me, or someone else.

Are you kidding me? Who in their right mind would buy this, let alone anyone here on the MacRumors forums has enough cash to buy this?
I imagine that Apple would do something similar to the 2016 13" MacBook Pro lineup, where they initially launched a very expensive configuration (that appeals to early adopters that buy anything at any price) before offering more affordable options 6 months down the line. I can very well see a $3000 configuration that is eventually replaced by two others (one being cheaper and weaker).

Is the MacBook Pro branding necessary? Thats a lot of wasted space. I don't have it on my Early 2015 13 inch MBP.
I'm surprised Apple has not used the massive visual real estate of the touchpad. They could scrawl a logo on it with room left over for custom laser engraving, possibly from an image you upload.

Hopefully, a heavily modified scissor keyboard. I really don't want to get back to the wibbly-wobbly junk they used in the 2015 versions and before.

And hopefully it's not much bigger/thicker than the current 15" ones. An updated cooling system would be nice.

Price doesn't matter if the performance is right, in the end these machines make money while using them.

so event or no event, this article it saying it will be released very soon... well ok, bring it on.

How about a 14" screen in a case that's the same size as the current 13" notebooks. I'd be interested in that..

**** i want it in a 15 or id prefer 13 with a decent mobile discreet gfx added, id rather have slimmer bezels and slightly thicker chassis as long as they address airflow and heat constraints. lets lose the oled function keys while we are at it.

Their magic keyboards feel great. Maybe it'll be close to those. But I actually like the butterfly keyboard alot.

With Apple's current lack of focus on quality and management drive for profits and glitz over performance and quality, one would be a fool to buy the first version for mission critical work.

Sure, if you got the cash and another laptop go ahead, but Apple has proven over and over again that they just don't have performance and quality anymore and more importantly that they don't want to have performance and quality anymore.

Finally scissor keyboard..

Butterfly is very unreliable.
It's not the mechanism that's unreliable. It's that Apple decided to make the whole thing thinner.
Indirectly there is a cause in the fact that the mechanism improves the stability and levelling of the keys, while being more compact. This is what allowed them to make it thinner, but they didn't have to.

It'll probably turn out that all these people have been misinterpreting a keyboard with the same travel as previous laptops to mean that it has scissor supports.

my 2019 MacBook Pro butterfly keyboard has been perfect I don't want the old thick style, also the animation in iOS 13.2 was not for AirPods but for the beats headphones, so I doubt this MacBook is ready it will be 2020
so are just going to ignore all the other leaks on airpods pro and believe your.... guess?

Digitimes lol. Nobody has a clue. They just keep throwing around the word scissor but I highly doubt Apple will completely revert back to a previous keyboard. It will be some next gen thing that Phil Schiller can say has never been done before in a laptop.
