Good! You won't regret it once you receive your brand new un-opened, sealed iPhone 6 Plus. :)

If this was just a disposable cheap phone to be used occasionally in emergencies I think most people here would say the opposite and tell you to take the $50 and keep it, but this is Apple's latest top of the line phone that hasn't even been on the streets for a month. You deserve better than a dinged up phone. Plus since it was dropped you don't know what else could've gone wrong from the drop. You did the right thing. Let us know when you receive your new 6 Plus. :)

It's just a phone. Did you not have a phone at the time you ordered through eBay? Or were you actually that impatient you needed to have this phone.

I'm not sure what the point of your post is. I said in the original post that I got impatient and ordered one on ebay. Does it bother you that I wanted to pay a little more and get one sooner?

Also I think you'd have to admit that mobile devices are much more than "just a phone" at this point - it is by far the electronic device that I use more than any other (whether that's a good thing or not is a whole other debate and is entirely subjective).

If it's just a phone, then why is he on an iPhone forum reading this thread, posting about one lol. It's much more than a phone. It's a computer. Yes op, I don't have patience either. I would have done what you did. Many people would have. Hope you get it sorted out.

Yea impatient and see what it got you. Now you have to deal with eBay and dishonest people on there. If you already had one then you should of used that use one until the new one reached you. Patience is a virtue.

Agree with poet - IF the phone is from Apple, why "open to check sim"? Get your money back if you can.

I bought a new iPhone 6 from Swappa and the seller opened the box to remove the sim and take pictures. He did not activate the phone. And the phone was in perfect condition when I got it. So yeah, sellers do that.

As was said this phone was probably dropped while removing the sim. If as the op said this is a big company, then the person who took the sim out and dropped the phone simply put it back in the box and shipped it without telling anyone.

Good Gracious! Was this necessary?

Reminds me of those people who say, you signed a 2 year contract so just wait 2 years until you upgrade. Well guess what, I've been selling my iPhone 1 year into my contract on eBay or craigslist which allowed me to upgrade every year with little or no extra cost. This is how I've owned the 3G, 3GS, 4, 4s, 5, 5s and now the 6 plus. Not everyone is patient as you and there is nothing wrong with that.

So the answer is yes, then? It *does* bother you that I was impatient and bought a phone off ebay? You should be more discerning in what you decide to let bother you, my friend. :)

No way did it come from Apple like that - the seller would have noticed as well.

Definitely return it.

Update:
Received a full refund on the dinged-up device (including return shipping) and am now holding a brand new silver, 128GB 6+, with a normal-sounding vibrate motor. :)
