How do you see it. Have not heard this yet. Is it Live TV in your Guide? Is it under there C's near CBS or under the T's as The CW? Thanks.

I don't have the CW (yet?), I'm in Los Angeles market.

But maybe it's listed under whatever the affliate for the CW is in your area.

I know initially, there was a list of CBS stations that owned the CW in their markets, so I think these markets will receive the CW first.

Doesn't show in subscribed or unsubscribe networks but it's in the guide on my phone. I haven't checked on my Apple TV yet.

I'm not really seeing the need for DVR as I have been using Tablo for local channels and can record those now. Most of the cable channels I watch have app authentication with DirecTV NOW credentials, so I can watch recent shows on demand. The only disadvantage is having to watch the inserted commercials I guess, but they are shorter breaks than when aired originally. I doubt I'd be willing to pay for DVR with the setup I have now, but if they include a free tier of limited hours, I guess that would be good for the occasional show/event that's not supported with my current setup.

The CW affiliate in Chicago isn't owned by CBS. It is on a FOX owned station, and I received it.

The CW affiliation in Chicago is a bit of an odd duck. Whatever legal agreements are a result of that shuffle likely permitted DTVN to provide CW prior to it being made available in larger markets like NY, or even its home market in LA.

There is no other logical explanation to deny the two media capitals of coverage, when smaller markets like Detroit, DFW, and San Francisco already have access. All are O&O markets for both networks.

The legalese dictates what is shown, where, and how. It's the same reason why the ABC channels still run very little advertising, and fill the commercial breaks with dead screens, and the NFL opener on NBC a couple nights ago was a big fat white screen.

Ask the lawyers.

I understand all that. My post wasn't a question, just a statement.

Just got an email from DirecTV NOW telling me that CBS Sports is now included in my package. So when I first looked for it, it was not there but then I updated the app and bam it showed up. Not a huge deal since we had sign on privileges for the actual CBS Sports Network app, but hey I will take it.

Hopefully I get some damn live channels soon! I live in Central New York, in a pretty big market...in between Syracuse and Albany. Come on DirecTV!!!

Well, just wanted to give you all a heads up. I am sure you will get the email shortly or it is already in your inbox. Later.

I got the email not so long ago too.. glad Directv keeps adding channels without increasing the price.
only thing needed now is DVR- hopefully they start adding more people to the BETA

I just checked on the DIRECTV NOW website where you check if it has your local channels by zip code. I checked all the major cities in upstate/central New York and none of them have local channel support. I checked Albany, Utica, Syracuse, Rochester, Buffalo, and none have it but of course Poughkeepsie, NY has all the major networks plus some super local channels.

DirecTV NOW (/AT&T) need to roll out local channels WAY faster! This is ludicrous!

I thought that if we signed up with them from the start that our price was locked in forever, as long as we have the account without changing packages? That was my understanding. Anyway, yes I am glad that they are continuing to add channels, however, we really need the DVR and if you read above you will see my rant about no local channels in the whole of upstate/central New York. Total BS.

Hopefully Showtime shows up soon because Homeland and Billions will be starting up again relatively soon.

Edit: Just realized that Showtime is available. My bad.
