38/40 palooza for $19.99 + ship.

that’s a great deal for Hibiscus Loop, looks pretty fresh let alone the good price. I think they have Horizon Blue listed as Royal. It’s def not Royal, as it’s 40mm
Is it possible that these are all legit?

Saw it on ebay: Hermès orange SB for 98+3.50 shipping

just scooped this up, wanted to check that no 44mm hermes sport band comes with a s/m size, correct? I can just squeeze into that last hole on a m/l, so it should be fine here.. couldn’t pass this deal up after seeing other listings set at $150+

I believe (and someone can correct me if I’m wrong) that in the S0-3 days, the 42mm Hermès only came with the M/L portion of the sport band. I think from S4 on, it comes with both pieces. So, this band is probably genuine, just from the earlier generations of the watch.

Well actually this is still the case. 40mm gets the S/M strap and 44mm gets the M/L one - I just checked on swiss Apple site, but I assume this applies worldwide.

Oh interesting! I always assumed that with the packaging change that occurred with the S4 (switching from the square boxes to the long rectangular ones) that they were able to fit the full band in the box. I wonder why they still only include the M/L piece with Hermes when they are able to fit both the S/M and M/L pieces in with the titanium watches.

Interesting.. I’ve seen a slightly famous seller vetted by people on these forums selling that s/m piece, any of them you all would reco?

Are we sure the Apple site is correct on the strap sizing? Their site says that the titanium watch only has a S/M for 40mm and a M/L for 44mm. But, we know from ample evidence on this forum that both sport band pieces are included, regardless of which case size you buy. Is it the same way for Hermès? Maybe someone who has bought a S4-6 Hermès can weigh in?

Beats me. I assume it's old-fashioned marketing tactics... in the Hermes world, 40mm is woman = small and 44mm is "man" = large... Can't explain it otherwise...

Ummm at least on the swiss Apple site, the Titanium watch is featured as shipping with both S/M and M/L straps.

edit: the above applies for the chosen bracelet. The standard one (e.g. light grey for a natural Ti watch) comes indeed only in M/L for 44mm and S/M for 40mm. Which is completely contradictory.... 🤔🙄

Ah yes that is my point. The included band for the Ti watches says it comes only in M/L for 44mm and S/M for 40mm. But, we know from people on this forum who have actually bought the Ti watch that it includes both the S/M and M/L pieces for the standard included sport band regardless of which case size you pick. Apple’s site is simply wrong in this area (and has been since the S5). What I am wondering is whether this is also the case with the Hermès models. Can’t say since I have never bought one!

Correct. Across all generations of Hermès watches, not a single one came with a S/M. At least, it wasn’t supposed to.

The weird part is, there was someone on r/ABM who claimed they bought a S/M piece at a boutique. I sincerely doubt they were telling the truth, because I don’t think S/M pieces were ever officially distributed by either Apple or Hermès.

Watching unboxing videos says otherwise. The Titanium inserts are a trifold, which has extra space for the M/L piece. The Hermès inserts, however, are a bifold design. Just enough room for some text and the M/L piece. There hasn’t been, isn’t, and probably never will be an included S/M.

Chargerstore is, probably, the only place you can get authentic S/M pieces. There’s also a second seller on there who seems to have them, but I’m convinced they’re just reselling Chargerstore’s bands.

I stand corrected! What a weird choice. Why not just package it the same as the Ti watch bands and give people both pieces?

It’s actually not a trifold like a normal band, it’s like a book. One side has the pin with the S/M band attached the the M/L is in the lower half. It’s like this for both the light and dark Titanium, 40 and 44. Here’s an eBay example.

Ordered from chargerstore. I’m curious to know then, given all I’ve read here if any of the s/m 42mm hermes band listings are indeed authentic or not. Seems that it wasn’t included with the 42mm editions.. but the 38mm instead.

Authentic or not they are identical in every way. Sizing, materials, hole spacing, lettering, font etc. There are a few theories about how they have come in to existence but it seems they do at least come from the same manufacturing plant as authentic bands...

Yeah. 42/44mm’s “default” size is M/L, and 38/40mm’s “default” size is S/M. It’s why you only find the “Assembled in China” text on 42mm M/L and 38mm S/M.

That would, at least in my mind, make them authentic. Technically unreleased, but still authentic. I can confirm they come from the same factories, likely as scrapped pieces. Interestingly, the lug shape on mine is consistent with 42mm bands, while the pin half is 44mm. So they’re likely pre-release marketing prototypes.
