I've always been curious about Light Bone/Black... (Not that I'd ever find one), but what is the story/history of this band? What is "Nike Lab"?
On NikeLab, @athousandbands could probably explain it better, but in short, it’s like Nike’s specialty store for exclusive/curated designs. At least, as I understand it.

Apple launched the Nike+ watches with the Series 2 in Fall 2016, but then in Spring 2017, they released a limited edition “NikeLab” watch. The watch was functionally identical to the normal S2 Nikes released just 6 months earlier, except it had an exclusive face color (now available to all Nike watches) which matched the bundle-exclusive band.

So, you had to buy the Lab edition S2 to get the band? It wasn't available separate from the watch? Was it available to the general public? Or was/is the NikeLab an invite/exclusive thing?

Correct, you had to buy the watch to get the band. Not invite only, it was a public release available at Nike’s online store (worldwide I think), select physical NikeLab locations, and a pop up store in Japan.

I have the QC reject without text, but I would really like to find a badged one some day.

I do recall the NikeLab watch selling out FAST. I think they were gone in 1-2 days. That’s another reason why the Light Bone/Black band is so rare. It was bundle only and there weren’t many of them made.

Yep yoinked that :) I am assuming it’s a good price if it turns out to be delft?
Yeah definitely. That’s a great price for any non-default band. Delft definitely gets lost among the mid-range blues but the name gives it more value for me. I guess I’m romantic like that. Looking at Alaskan v Linen v Delft connectors, I’m almost certain it’s delft. It has a little more contrast. And of course the wild possibility that the picture is accurate!

I will post a pic as soon as I get it. Although it’s gonna be raining all week, hard to get good shots indoors 😢

Posted my Nike sport band in teal tint/tropical twist (missing M/L strap) in the marketplace......

Someone had an Obsidian/Black sport band listed on eBay (https://www.ebay.com/itm/203257699760?ul_noapp=true) with a stock photo so I asked if they could post a photo of the actual item. This is what they posted.

LOL. Did they take that picture outside at night under a black light???!
also im like 90% confident that's 40mm, not 42mm. And the lug shape (though terrible lighting and a bad angle) says it's post S4, so i'm 60% confident it's Anthracite and not Obsidian.

yeah after a second look im like 90% sure that's a very used and very shined up 40mm Anthracite/Black, not a 42mm Obsidian.
