LOL, now I'm kind of tempted to buy an empty hermès box from some fraudster on ebay who is trying to trick people who don't read the descriptions carefully --- oh hey, like this guy --- and see if I can show apple the box somehow to convince them to sell me one.

I can confirm you only need a serial, I just ordered a Hermes Orange Sport Band through a support chat (took 2 agents, first just told me to contact Hermes direct). I don't own a Hermes model but managed to find a serial number online...........I'll leave it up to your imagination to guess where this might be found. UK based as well for any of our British friends this might help out. Thanks very much for this tip, saved me having to use chargerstore or pay the inflated prices on eBay.

They can't give you a S/M strap for a 44mm band though. You'll need Chargerstore (or an even more expensive eBay seller) to get that.

Last month I did a pricematch by chat in Bestbuy, Walmart has the black sport @ 8.27 dls

and it works! 😁 Total was like $8.99 with tax (SoCal) for a new sealed black 44 mm band in Bestbuy.

I know that Walmart is not selling this watch band directly, it's another seller (iTek) and probably a fake band (reading the customer comments), so I was hesitating to try the pricematch, but hey, it doesn't hurt to try, and I was lucky.
