Pleased to hear reports of so many Disney films being in 4K on the service, with Dolby Vision & Dolby Atmos for the flagship titles (Star Wars film etc). Can’t wait until March for the UK availability, and with enough classic films now being available in 4K/HDR/DV/DA either on iTunes or on UHD BluRay, I can see a TV upgrade early next year - I already have Atmos capability.

The highlight here is the 7 new 4K DV Star Wars transfers. I’ll check them out tonight. The movies that are missing from the service are mostly all on Netflix probably until next year. They include Black Panther, Infinity War Ragnarok, Coco, Last Jedi, Solo, Mary Poppins Returns, Incredibles 2, Antman & the Wasp, National Treasure, Short films collection, Tarzan, Bolt, Chicken Little, Princess & the Frog, Ralph Breaks the Internet. I thought Netflix would lose them immediately but looks like they locked them in well in advance. And of course the Netflix Marvel shows are staying where they are.

While Disney offers the OT in 4K they’re the SEs. I have the 4K no DNR transfer of Episode IV made by Project 4K77 and it’s fantastic. Native 4K since they used original 35mm Technicolor prints. Of course there is lots of grain (a good thing) and while it does have some flaws it makes me wonder why Lucas ever thought using low res CGI was a good idea. The optical effects look much better and hold up really well. This transfer is still out there if you know where to look. Of course no HDR and the official 4K release will of course look much cleaner but this is the best the original film has looked since the original run and it’s the only way we’ll ever see it in 4K unless Lucas changes his mind.

Any chance Disney or the Disney bundle with Hulu and ESPN+ will have discounted yearly packages on Black Friday or Cyber Monday?

I don't, so far the shows are really good which is also proven by wide audience.

Also do you think it's same people doing these shows than people who are coding iOS? :)

We have the trial but not sure how Apple counts this as a success yet. I wouldn’t have paid a sub.

I plan on turning top shelf back on and go back to seldom using the app itself. Maybe Apple will pick up something interesting later who knows. It might worth one month out of year.

What do people like so much that Disney has to offer? Honestly curious, not trying to start any fights

No idea. Movies I get that. But I own any I’d want to see. New content will take a while with much not scheduled for months out. Any old nostalgic content? No thanks. I’ve often found it’s not really that great again to rewatch.

I’ve a feeling many will be disappointed after a month and cancel. Unless you were suckered into prepayment.

Far Better than appletv+ at launch. Just waiting now for verizon to email me so I could take advantage of their 1 year free promotion.

Why is it far better? A bunch of old or kids movies and comic book movies. It's great for kids, maybe you're really young but the back catalog doesn't mean squat if it's not what people want to watch or of you've already seen it. I'd rather have some fresh content that be able to watch Spiderman and Star Wars.

Well, guess it's a moot point for me either way. TV+ is free while Disney+ isn't slated to come to Singapore until 2021?

What a weak launch. I sign up for originals and there is only one original (The Mandalorian) serious drama. And, only one episode of each show to begin with. They should at least follow Apple's lead with the 3 episode availability at launch. Disney-

I already have found more to watch in 20 minutes on Disney + than the awful shows on Apple TV. I really wish Apple would stay out of content production and just focus on fixing their buggy operating systems!
I haven't found anything original to watch. I have seen all the classic Disney/Pixar/Star Wars/Marvel shows, and own the ones I want on Blu-ray.

there's nothing i'm interest to look from Disney

So far Apple TV+ been very good with their shows.
Wow really lol i dont believe that

Better ? I tried it and the Disney Pixar movie Toy Story 4 isn’t available on their own streaming service but it is on Apple TV +
Not everything will be available yet, but it will be added. They still have some licensing deals that have to expire.
