Call me crazy, but logging into a tech site, to post about how effective FMF is just doesn't sound right to me. As a man, I think some trivial forum discussion would be the LAST thing on my mind. I'd be too worked up about confronting her or something else. Signing up for and logging into MR would certainly not even cross my mind.

Besides, there have been apps available, for quite some time, that would've provided him confirmation of what he's been suspecting all along. For example, downloading Google Latitude to her phone or simply activating Find My Phone on her device. If he was able to download an app into her phone without her knowledge, surely, turning on FMP is a lot quicker and easier to do.

That's what I'm thinking too. If my wife or girlfriend was to cheat on me I'd be doing a lot more than posting here about it.

Ok, maybe it's just cos I'd calling a friend or something before making threads in an iPhone forum. I guess it's his choice of what to do though.

I do acknowledge the point that both of you are making. Granted, if this happened to me I would on the phone flipping out. Perhaps, he's handling the situation differently, straying from what you and I think is the norm. OR he could very well one bored individual. Anyone remember the thread about some guy bragging and giving grief to an Apple store employee, after he found her on Facebook? Gonna be interesting to where this thread is headed.

sorry to hear, remote lock her phone and send her a remote message with some kind words...

Everyone's different. And people do strange, and sometimes illogical, things in extremis.

Good luck to the OP...

better make sure

location tracking on the phone is not so good as evidence. You need pictures of her coming out of his house....

FMF really cuts the boundaries of personal privacy, and whatnot. it raises so many questions here. but my morals have always pointed towards COMPLETE honesty between a couple (especially when it is marital). so i think that the OP was in the right to do this, and it puts his restlessness at ease somewhat. and he now knows the true wife, somebody who is not honest, noble nor worth his efforts.

might not be the best way to find out, but its better to know then not know.

goodluck OP.

I'm in trouble too.

Just snapped a candid photo of my mother-in-law's rack and it wound up getting Photo Streamed to my wife's iPhone.

Ah, boltjames, you're back!

I certainly hope you've purchased the new iPad 2 (with 3G and 64GB of course) to replace that old iPad. Otherwise, I'm afraid you're part of a (now) very lonely and not-very-elite owner's club ;)

reminds me of a story of I think it was Pan Am that had a promotion for Businessmen to fly their spouses free promotion. Apparently, the promo went so well that Pan Am sent out thank you letters to their customer's homes, where wives who've never even heard of the promo received those letters.

Needless to say, Pan Am had tons of angry wives calling in demanding to know who their husbands were flying with...lots of divorces followed.

Letters, GPS tracking, texting, Facebook, emails == evidence in court

She was obviously lieing so you won't find out about the awesome Christmas gift you're getting after getting a new phone. ;)

So the OP bought his wife the 4S and caught her cheating/lying the first or second day since the phone came out Friday.

What? You think she will stop cheating because of a new iPhone. A cheaters gonna cheat. He obviously suspected something, planned it, and was watching her every move. Don't you think other men on MR might suspect their spouse of cheating? He just was one of the first.

Pics or it didn't happen.... :D

It didn't happen.

No different than the entertaining OP who has a good guy friend from grade school who lives in the 50and who got his new iOS 5 download like the rest of us. "Hey Mitch, do me a favor and send me a FMF screencap right now. I'll explain later, bro."

She's his property? And it's her phone. It's a personal item. And it's illegal to spy using certain electronic means, like keyloggers to read her mail, etc.

Google it people sand I gave two links that should serve as a clue that it's risky waters to swim in.

He bought the phone probably pays the bill with his name on it. So that pretty much sums up it's his property to do what he wants. And why are you wasting your time just to prove someone you don't know wrong. Do research on something that matters.

unlike other people here, i dont care about proof, you wouldn't be gaining anything by lying anyway.

But i do suggest if true to get yourself a lawyer and find out if this is admissible. If not, you prob have to set up a way to bust her in a way that will hold up in court.
