Why do people in here feel the need to dispute everything they see? Why would he pull a story like this out of his ass? Show the man some respect.

Just saying...

unlike other people here, i dont care about proof, you wouldn't be gaining anything by lying anyway.

You're underestimating the enormous satisfaction and fun many get from seeing their (fake) story threads get filled up with postings. They absolutely love seeing it. Of course I'm contributing to the OP's satisfaction by adding another posting here. ;)

OP, if your story is true, I'm really sorry. Seems like you've known something is wrong for a while, and you just had further evidence added to whatever made you start to suspect that she was cheating.

If the story isn't true, thanks for the entertainment.

not that it matters here. In most states even with cheating assets still get split 50/50 no matter what.
Chances are the best he could do is sue the guy she cheated with after the fact.

Either way her cheating on him has no bearing on the result of the divorce.

He can ask her to pay him alamony. If they have kids together he's really screwed. Most likely the court will give the mother custody and have him pay child support.

This FMF stuff could get ugly using the (newstand) folder in a folder in a folder trick; 98% of the people with iPhones wouldn't know FMF was even installed, let alone why SpringBoard kept crashing, if they even noticed the folder in a folder in the first place! :D:D:D

It becomes illegal when you attach it to a vehicle you don't own.

Right!

This is same for everything a legal thing can be illegal depending on where you have used it for.

I do not know if I would believe the story or not but this can happen to anyone.. :(

I believe it IS legal

I'm not a lawyer, however, I believe you are allowed to GPS track property you own. If the poster owned the iPhone 4S, even co-owned it with his wife, than there is nothing illegal. For example, a person can put a GPS device in their own car. If someone else is driving the car, the car owner is not required to tell the driver the car is being GPS tracked. The obvious example here is that you do not have to tell a robber that your car is GPS tracked before he steals the car. :)

In saying that, clearly the wife here was caught in a lie, but not caught committing adultery. The poster/husband, however, may be hot on the trail if he plays his hand properly, to discover the whole truth.

So sorry for all involved.

OPs first post says she was in the east village visiting a friend. Then she's saying she was in the meat packing district. Those are two very different areas
.

I think this is BS.

The OP should get one last eFF in, and make it a hate eFF where right at the end he just unloads on her figuratively and literally about her cheating. I would double wrap though.

I'm assuming OP's wife cheated twice since getting the 4S (probably two separate scenarios).

Her lawyer will have a field day with you. You modified HER phone without her knowledge so you could spy on her. Judges do not like that.

You mean "their" phone just like "their car" and "their" home.

Done on the basis of probable cause of her past history of lying.

The story is fake if you have any sense of context, but that is not the point, people want to imagine what it might be like now that we have this app..

The next step would theoretically be to hire a private detective named marty to take those eagle zoom lens black and white photos of her and the perp, (who the husband recognizes from a random place) they are coming out of a building together and they both have suspicious looks on their faces before she gets in the cab. The wind is blowing.

In a marriage all items are split evenly among the two partners. Doesn't matter if the husband buys it or not. Which is why during a divorce things are usually split down the middle, whether bought before the marriage or not.

Actually the East Village is about 5 blocks away from the Meat Packing district.

People handle things differently...its really not that weird.

Yep, it's quite common to catch your wife cheating and immediately post about it on an Apple forum.

She was obviously lieing so you won't find out about the awesome Christmas gift you're getting after getting a new phone. ;)

What? You think she will stop cheating because of a new iPhone. A cheaters gonna cheat. He obviously suspected something, planned it, and was watching her every move. Don't you think other men on MR might suspect their spouse of cheating? He just was one of the first.

I don't believe the story at all.
