I keep it in the Apple case, in winter I use my Scottevest and that is great but not so great for summer. I would never carry it around without a case.

naked+moshi muse for carrying (it's awesome!)

I don't like cases since they add bulkiness to the device. It's something I cannot stand while I hold my ipad in my hand(s)

I use the Zagg Mate Aluminum keyboard case. I have the WiFi-only iPad, and I figure the Aluminum back is sturdy enough; so between the Aluminum front via the Zagg case, and the Bluetooth keyboard, it is a wonderful case. It has allowed me to completely replace my laptop for mobile usage. (I tether it to my iPhone when I need data on the go.)

the apple case case is brilliant....soft touch actually makes holding the ipad alot easier, and means you dont have to be over protective, i can throw it on the floor from the bed....and my 3 year old has 3 pages of apps and does like to throw it around in frustration when he gets stuck in a sub menu. I do want to preserve resale value for when ipad 2 comes out.

Apple case because it makes it so much nicer to hold and use.

I have tried the ipad naked a couple of times at home but I hate it. The Apple Case went back on very quickly each time.

Belkin iPad sleeve for carrying only.
I use it naked, but with care, so there are still no scratches on the back. One tiny scratch on the screen though - no idea where it came from.

I use an Incipio Feather, which is a super-thin shell for the back and a bit of the edges. From what I can tell from pictures of the Belkin grip vue mentioned by others, the Feather looks thinner and leaves a more space around the dock connector so you can probably use it with more stuff.

I also have a screen protector.

I used to use it with no protector in a Marware Eco-vue, but not only did the glass screen inexplicably get a nick, but the case was too heavy, so I had to make a change. Re: the nick, I'm not saying it wasn't my fault, but there was no clear explanation for it. I didn't drop it, never threw it into a bag full of cutlery, etc.. No idea what happened.

Apple was very nice to replace it, but I'm more paranoid about the indestructible glass now. This current setup gives more some peace of mind but is very close to naked, weight and form wise.

NAKED!

When I first got my iPhone 4 I had all kinds of cases and screen protectors and I finally come to a conclusion. This phone is too damn sexy to cover up and hide so I went naked. I do carry my phone in a belt case at work but when at home I am naked and free! I am always careful not to place the phone on hard surfaces that will scratch it and I never put the phone in my pockets! No scratches or blemishes anywhere!

Doesn't matter how careful you are, accidents happen so I always have a case on. They're called accidents for a reason.

My iPad is in a plastic Belkin case and I transport it inside an Incase neoprene sleeve.

case all the way problem is i just cannot seem to find a good one i like

first apple case - sold it on day 2
then belkin silicone protector - returned it same day
then griffin elan passport - not bad still have it
then belkin pleated sleeve - used it once
then otterbox commuter - great but no screen protection
then otterbox defender - too bulky too much protection

so its back to the griffin elan i think and time to put the rest on the bay :)

I just remembered another good reason for a case. Walking around the streets with an iPad can be risky. At least a case can disguise it a little bit.

Unlike my iPhone4 which is naked (and loving it), I keep my iPad in a nice leather case. The best I have used so far after trying about 4. I get a lot of comments about it also.

I dress my iPad like I dress myself. It depends on the climate. I have the official :apple: case and dock/keyboard. I also have a Brown leather flip case and 3 different back covers, clear, green silicone, and custom hard shell speck (zazzle) with a picture that I picked out. I always have a screen cover on. I have various bags and totes that I also use with my laptop.

Ahh haha! :p

Caseless, though I wish I hadn't. I now have a few large scratches on the glass, probably from a magic pad or something. Carelessness on my part, but it wouldn't have happened if I had gone with the apple case like I did on my wifi only one. :(

using the Apple Case. works great for me. not bulky. easy to open and close. and the case doesnt get as dirty (dust) as I expected/thought it would be. no screen protector at all.

I wouldn't carry it anywhere without a case (if I had one). My iPhone took no time whatsoever to get scratches and even a nick in the surface of the screen. Had a Zagg on order, but I couldn't wait, and even though I'm careful -- sure enough. Murphy's Law.

My iPad is in a case but I am naked.

(This is really not me honestly)
