NAKED!

When I first got my iPhone 4 I had all kinds of cases and screen protectors and I finally come to a conclusion. This phone is too damn sexy to cover up and hide so I went naked. I do carry my phone in a belt case at work but when at home I am naked and free! I am always careful not to place the phone on hard surfaces that will scratch it and I never put the phone in my pockets! No scratches or blemishes anywhere!

Naked at home, in case when out.

I find the whole case thing puzzling.

I understand putting gadgets in heavy duty cases like Otterboxes, and I have some friends who really abuse their gadgets and it comes in handy.

But most of the super flimsy leather/vinyl/felt cases that people use (including the Apple case) serve no practical purpose protecting the device (they do provide a nice angle for people who need it).

Dropping a naked iPad and dropping an iPad in the apple case would probably have the same amount of damage.

I have a diamante/rhinestone cover on my iPad, covering only the back (like an iPhone case). I am a student and I have it in various types of bags (backpacks, messanger bags, book bags, etc) with all kinds of crap like pens, spiral notebooks with metal bindings, books and much more and there are no scratches on the screen.

I'm sure over the course of the next couple of years a scratch or two might pop up, but do people plan on keeping the device for much longer than that anyway?

The apple case some really nice feel to the ipad. And thats perhabs the #1 reason why most people use it.

I have several cases...
Waterfield Designs slide-in case
Otterbox Defender
Clamcase

Each one has its pros & cons.
