I'm hoping that when I level up to level 25 while wearing an Apple Vision Pro and an Apple Watch Ultra on each of my wrists I'll evolve into an Apple Cyborg™.

I wear it all the time except when showering or cleaning and drying the strap.

Nope I don’t. I’m motivated enough without thankfully. I walk, run, and hike for exercise. My gf has a gym membership which allows a guest so I go with her sometimes. But usually it’s just me running primarily.

But hey; whatever motivates is good. Fitness+ is not for me, but it is for many.

I’m English but live in Canada. I despise running in the rain and totally avoid it, but it’s super rare that it’s an issue. I’m headed back there to see my parents next month. Must pack a rain coat! :D
Let me know if you’re near London, and I’ll buy you a pint.

Thinking of signing up for Apple Fitness+.

Walking bores me, and biking wouldn’t be enjoyable when it’s peeing down (UK weather.)

With Apple Fitness+, there’s not really many excuses one can come up with to swerve it.

I’ve exhausted my trial period (hardly used it) but I can get a month of All In for free, to see if AF+ will be for me.

If it is, £9.99 per month (£2.50 per week) is pretty good going.

Do you subscribe to Any of Apple’s services?
I love AF+. Use it everyday and now do the annual subscription (£79).

I have lost 30lbs over the last year using it - I daily do 20-30 mins and a mix of HIIT, strength and core training. The HIIT was tough to start with but now I look forward to it lol. Really recommend it if you feel you should exercise more and it may help you fall back in love with your watch.

I do have an (lol well 5) Apple TV so my workout and metrics are projected on the big screen which helps.

Thanks, Bill(?)

I may give it another go, but I’m not getting dumbbells or any other lifting gear.

I’d do HIIT & core, on an exercise mat that I can just roll up when I’m done (I’m a minimalist :).)

Wishing you well.

That is what I do mainly. I do have 2 7.5kg dumbbells, but mainly use just a mat. Even for strength training I do a lot of the classes with just body weight so no equipment needed.

Nice one; thanks for letting me know.

I can have a one month trial of One (everything) so I may give it a try & stick with Apple Fitness+ if it gets me.

Do you do your workout in the morning, or later at night?

I love all of the integration, and you’re right, it would help me to fall in love with my Apple Watch again.

Further more, it would give the watch purpose, which it currently doesn’t have.

I try to do the workout around 8:30am. I WFH, and am in the UK, but work hybrid US hours (12pm UK - 8pm)as my team are all east coast based.

Sometimes I do it during my ‘lunch’ break at about 5pm.

As others have said AF+ isn’t for everyone, but I find once I started it really motivated me to do it and I get annoyed when I can’t for whatever reason (lol like now it is hard as my grandkids are over from the US for 3 weeks and they wonder what grandad is upto in the lounge when they want to watch Netflix).

22 hours a day for me. I wear an Apple Watch 7 at night for sleep, and an Apple Watch 8 for daytime. The wrist does get itchy after awhile....

You just almost made me piss myself with laughter.

10/10 to you :D.

I have small wrists, and the Ultra had no problem alerting me that my heart rate was over 100bpm when I had a pulmonary embolism. In fact fall detection activated and 911 was called when I didn’t respond to my watch. It don’t look no bigger than my S4, and the battery life and ****** screen is a bonus.

Did you set it to alert you if your heart rate was up? If so, I’m curious about that setting. One of the reasons I have the AW is the ability to check heart rate, as well as the ekg. There are a LOT of heart issues in my family. We got a double whammy from our parents each having different types of heart issues, and several of my siblings have heart issues.

I occasionally leave my watch off for a day if I’m just gonna be home, but mostly I wear it from within an hour of waking until I am taking my bath before bed.

I’ve always been a watch wearer anyway, so wearing the AW wasn’t like getting into a new habit.

I have a 3 month trial that I’m going to activate soon, and see how they works out. I walk 8-10 5 days when I’m at work, so my weight loss has plateaued since my body is used to the walking, so I need to change it up. I might as well use it since it’s free.

Yes I have it set up if my heart rate go over 100bpm sitting still for 10 minutes and under 50bpm (which isn’t normal for me). It has been a life saver for me.

I take mine off to charge when I'm getting ready in the morning, and when getting ready for bed/showering.
Within those break times, we both get a rest, and the watch gets to charge.
Otherwise, I'm always wearing it. I like the data 🤓

I definitely encourage you to give it a go. I've only used an AW for two weeks but prior to that I was doing workouts from the Fitness app on my iPhone because Fitness+ came bundled with Apple One.

Fitness+ can be a bit cheesy sometimes but I got used to and learned to like the trainers. What they got *really right* was the variety of workouts available. I've done 4-5 workouts a week since the end of December and never once have I felt the workouts stale or repetitive. The variety available without needing any equipment is great and you can add a few cheap things like stretchy bands and a couple dumbbells to add to your options.

What works really well for me is that it's not a chore. If I don't feel like doing more than just a 10 minute core workout, I won't do it. What really matters is just doing a little something every day.

I'd love to try Fitness+ with an Apple TV, seeing workouts on the big screen sounds like the ideal way to do them. Unfortunately our Apple TV broke and we never got around to replacing it.

I swap wrists when it gets itchy/irritated.
