I take mine off to charge when I'm getting ready in the morning, and when getting ready for bed/showering.
Within those break times, we both get a rest, and the watch gets to charge.
Otherwise, I'm always wearing it. I like the data 🤓
I would like the daily data as well.

I swap wrists when it gets itchy/irritated.
Yup me too. When I put it back on to sleep, I put it on my right wrist.
Then it sits on my left wrist during the day.
Sitting in one spot for more than a day, it gets itchy and a rash will form.
Important to keep the wrists clean and swap the watch regularly.

I never get itchy wrists (apart from that time a mosquito but my just under the edge of the watch - ugh) but I do clean the watch and my wrist and with an alcohol wipe on occasion. Depending on the season and quantity of workouts, I'd say once a week it gets an alcohol swab. Less frequently when it's colder.

I’ve gone off of mine, so I’m having a day or two without it.

See if I miss it.

Do you ever do this? Or do you wear it always?
The AWU is always on except when sleeping, to give the skin under the band some time off. I sleep well so I have no need for sleep tracking. At night the AWU sits in a MagSafe charger and serves as a nightstand clock. Nightime alarm functions and calls are dealt with using the iPhone next to it, not by the watch.

Except for the charging that is the same routine I followed previously with a Seiko dive watch for decades.

23/7 for me, for sure. I'm on an S8 bought on release after wearing a cracked-glass S5 for about 6 months.

Am an Ultra user. Love mine and while I have small wrists, the screen size and brightness is amazing. Wear it 23/7, only off when I charge it while showering and shaving.

I usually wear my Ultra 4-5 days a week, but not all of the day. Alternate with my Seiko Arnie or not having anything on if I feel my wrist needs a break.

Yes, I wear it as much as possible and don't feel like taking it off. I actually don't think about it unless I'm actively using it.

But it wasn't always that way:

I had the Ultra for about ten days and had to take it off for sleeping because it was bugging me.

The weight and size of the Ultra in general is not unbearable by any means. At least not when I'm awake and doing stuff.

But I definitely felt it enough to disturb my sleep and I'd end up taking it off during the night. This made me forget to put it on in the morning, which then led to me leaving for work without it.

Not ideal and it didn't become less annoying over time.

So after forcing myself to wear it all day and sleep with it on for a little over a week, I returned it and got a S8 41mm and one of the velcro "fabric" Sport Loop bands.

Now I wear my Watch all day and night and genuinely don't feel it to the point where I'll forget that I'm wearing it or reach for it when it's actually on the charger and I'm wearing long sleeves or a jacket.

*I don't have small wrists and the Ultra fit just fine otherwise. Far superior in battery life and overall value compared to S8. But big and heavy watches have always bothered me during sleeping. Can't do it.

I’d charge it on my wrist if it was possible - meaning it never comes off unless it’s to charge it or change bands
Same.

I wish it had some sort of magnetic "mini MagSafe" surface on one of the sides that made it possible to charge it without taking it off.

You could then top it off when sitting at your desk or lying in bed.

Probably never going to happen because of the fire hazard that's associated with charging lithium ion batteries in general.

But one can dream.

Can you share where/how to do that?
Sure thing.

Health App > lower right hand corner click on Browse > Select Heart > Scroll until you see High Heart Rate Notifications > Scroll down and select on. From there you can choose 100bpm+.

For Low Heart Rate Notification, go back to Heart and scroll down until you see Low Heart Rate Notifications, and you can follow the same instructions from activating High Heart Rate Notifications.

I wear it all the time except during sleep, unless I'm taking a lazy Sunday afternoon nap.

When I upgrade my Series 4 to the new Ultra this autumn, I will probably wear it to bed as well.

Literally always have it on me (I have two AWs so one is charging while I'm wearing the other)
This is what I do. My main watch is the Ultra (absolutely love it) and when either charging or showering I put on the aluminium AW3. It tracks everything all the time. The only time I don’t have a Watch on when I have to do some stuff that may damage the Ultra and I don’t have the AW3 with me with all its scratches. A few weeks ago I needed to paint a wall and the Ultra went off and the AW3 on. I have reasonably high move and stand targets and I am a sucker for getting those rings filled every day.

For those concerned about itching wrists, the Ultra is on my left arm and the AW3 on my right arm. Since I use slow charging (5W), it allows my left wrist to breathe a few hours every couple of days.

Edit: paragraph added.

That’s a good idea to change up wrists. I had considered having a second watch, so I could sleep track, but I do like a break from wearing the watch. Changing up wrists makes sense!

My ultra is pretty much always on my wrist. Working out, sleeping, working, etc. The only time I ever take it off is when I'm showering or when it's charging, but I only have to charge once every 2 and a half days.

When I first had the Ultra, I changed wrists from time to time including changing the wrist setting on the Ultra, but that seemed to confuse the watch's software to no end! Hand washing detection and running tracking both went haywire so I stopped doing that. Using the other watch with a different wrist setting was the solution and that really works very well.

I've got a real-life Apple Watch barnacle situation going on here. It's practically grown roots on my arm, and I'm starting to wonder if it's planning to declare independence as its own country someday. I'm thinking of calling it "iArm" from now on, you know, just to acknowledge its newfound permanence in my life.

The only time I don’t wear my AW is in the shower and when I’m sleeping. Otherwise, it’s always on my wrist.
