My philosophy is that if you truly love something, it’s your duty to criticize it when it’s bad, because you know how great it can be.
That's a good philosophy. I could just do without the melodrama accompanied by a lot of posts on this forum. A discussion of errors and mistakes is great, I'd love more of it. Mostly here you'll find that Apple IS THE WORST EVER because they misaligned two screen elements, or something.

That, of course, is a gross mischaracterization of what happened here.

I don't think anyone in this thread ever said Apple is the worst ever. That's cope.

What actually happened is what you allegedly welcome and think is great: A discussion of errors and mistakes in Liquid Glass on macOS 26. People shared screenshots with examples and discussed how unbelievably grotesque and absurd some of it is, while others chimed in saying it doesn't bother them.

No one lead Apple to the scaffold.

Casually opening the widgets panel.... Look at the dock area...

Indeed that's weird but here it looks fine:

Tried it on my M1 MBA which only does sofa duty as a web surfing machine.

Hate the Liquid Glass look. Turning reduce transparency helps a lot but I still find the UI ugly as sin. Already have Sequoia 15.7 downloaded and created a USB boot installer. Will be reverting back this weekend.

I came to Apple in 2009 and this the first time I've felt the need to go through the hassle of removing an OS.

This is the worst version of MacOS I have ever seen. And I am a Mac user since 2010. I have also used every iteration of Windows since Windows 3.11 for Workgroups. And this is Windows Vista all over again. I still have PSDT from Vista's Aero and this feels so much like it. I hate it. And I use the word "hate" very seldomly. Round bubble buttons everywhere. This is some script kiddies Linux theme you would use for fun for 2 days before it gets stale...

I agree with you. I have been on the Mac since 512K Fat Mac where you snip a resistor or something to make it 4MB of RAM. LOL... I didn't mind the changes all the way up to this. Liquid Glass is hideous and childish and cartoonish...at least it runs fast and smooth on my iMac M3...no crashes, lags or apps failing. Thats the only plus so far. :p

So ironic. Windows Vista was what got me to switch from Windows to Macs many years ago. I had just ordered a hot rod Lenovo T61 and it shipped with Vista. I returned it after a couple of days and picked up my first MacBook.
