No I voted no because you cant write your own rumors...

Yeah that does a great deal.. Im not into it.. I have submitted 4-5 rumors/news stories and none of them "made it"

Just know that they are all read and reviewed. Sometimes with news stories many copies are received around the same time, in which case the submitter who is credited for the story is the one who submits the story first. You have to be quick in this game! ;)

But yes, if you ever come across some solid rumors please continue to submit them, it's what helps keep the site going!

I notice that link to your own Apple rumors site in your sig; I notice too that you don't seem to be able to write your own rumors there either;)

you on your site said:
We reported that a Psystar was offering a Mac rip off. Using off the shelf PC parts and a modified version of Mac OS X Leopard, Psystar promised a cheaper alternative to an Mac.

Despite some initial concerns about their legitimacy, Psystar has delivered what they have advertised and later even offered software updates and server models.

Throughout, Apple has remained quiet about the company and many have expected that they would pursue legal action. AppleInsider reports that on July 3rd, Apple filed a formal complaint against the clone manufacturer. Apple's lawsuit is said to on the ground of copyright infringement.

Care to go over to Apple insider and copy the same story? I write my own stories. How old are you guys exactly?
No problem having the same story, arn even links to Appleinsder's site, but your's seems to be copy and paste from MacRumours: Are you saying you didn't?

I'll paste arn's again, but this time I'll colour in red the words that are identical;

You even left the 'a' in the first line when you cut 'company called'.

Seriously, do you really claim that those are your words?

EDIT: Very late 20s.

I don't clam them mine... Lol look at the bottom of the post. Heh so your telling me that your above 18, its 2:30 here (maybe its PDT there??) and your picking on a 14 year old kid? Hah.. But seriously I dont like the fact tht you cant post your own rumors then that I don't mind it that much.

I don't clam them mine...

Do you oyster them then??

Ah, the good old days, when children used to be seen, but not heard.

I hear they've recently changed the thread pitch of the mounting screws on the motherboard of the MacPro; you guys are clearly not keeping up.

That's exactly why I chose a MacBook Pro! Can't depend on those thread pitches on the desktop models! When will Apple ever LEARN?! :D

In many cases a simple search will find the answer to your question quicker than creating a new thread and waiting for someone to respond.

Actually, although this doesn't relate to some of the repeats you mention, considering the fact that the "Search" function is the only poorly implemented function I have noticed on this site (related to the vBulletin software, I guess), I get tired of "do a simple search" posts.

After being a regular lurker here for quite a while, someone called me for advice because he had spilled soda on his Mackbook. I had seen the guide related to that here, and told him to unplug it, take the battery out, and I'd get back to him in 5 minutes with further instructions. I did a search in forums for "spilled liquid laptop," and other various searches. Came across very few threads really relating to the topic, and mostly posts saying "Do a simple search," and "next time, don't drink next to your laptop." Really helpful. Having seen the guide, I even did a search "OMG spill liquid laptop," nope. "OMG spill" Nope. Then I realized I had to go to the guides page and search there (I guess "search forums" is clear, but I still thought it meant entire site) Same results. Finally, I put in "OMG spilled" and came across the guide. Now I know to go to Google or MRoogle, which I didn't then. And I wouldn't expect a hysterical person who HAD just spilled whatever on their whatever to go through what I did, and that was after I had actually seen the guide in question, AND remembered the title more or less, but put the verb "spill" instead of "spilled." (and this was before the Wikipedia-style, which is more "organized," but REALLY requires a search function). So I could just as easily in some cases say "a simple answer instead of a 'do a simple search' response would be better."

OMG
I LOVE THIS SITE
The only thing is the mobile site doesnt have a good selection

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_0_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5B108 Safari/525.20)

Yes I really do like it here a lot. It has really helped me learn more about Macs since I plan to purchase my first Mac in the future. But also everyone is kind and helpful here, and there is always great news and updates to read. Overall: A+! :)

Don't you guys wish we all see each other in person? :D

Maybe some day in the future, MacRumours will be a live-chat 3D digital place. Multiple iSight screens like in a mirror house with all these people. You can choose to which person you want to talk to and if the person is taken (in a discussion), you find somebody else to talk to.:p

My idea of the future. :)

I've found that MacRumors is one of the best Mac based communities on the net. Most users are knowledgable, and no members try to pick fights with new members, which makes for a pleasant environment to be apart of.

I'm a new member, but I've learned so much about Apple and Macs that I find myself logging on everyday. It's a great place to share your knowledge and learn new things. :)

I'm hoping to purchase a MacBook in the next few weeks, and finally call myself a Mac convert.

I hope this is a clothing-optional 'residence'.

I mean when you open Photo Booth, then the screen comes up. Many of these screens are scattered around a digital plane and you can talk to a person like an iChat chat. :) Basically, MacRumours would be a giant iChat world.

Any-ways, MacRumours very great site. I just want to see my idea implemented.
