What's the problem if they are a few years old? They are very powerful devices.I'm talking about the S6 and S7, not a several year old phone.

You can't sell used Android devices for $450 cause you can buy the same model brand new in stores for that price.
Apple controls the prices of iPhones and only drops the price after a new model comes out. Android phones can usually be found brand new on sale from stores after 6 month they are released.
Evidence: since this year Apple increased base storage size, last years 16gb iphone6s and 6s+ models will not hold value. Good luck trying to sell a 16gb iPhone 6s for anything close to $500

http://www.computerworld.com/article/2923622/android/android-upgrade-report-card-lollipop.htmlMy point is Samsung is far from the worst, and is usually one of the better companies for updates. LG, Motorola, HTC aren't any better. Nothing like apple though.
As I said, I am still waiting for Lollipop from Samsung. That is very old, things change dramatically year to year. That was before Motorola even got bought out

And I'm saying that over the past year Samsung has been in point with updating their newer phones, better than most other companies.
I don't care if the new phones get timely updates, the rest is abandonware. And I'm saying that over the past year Samsung has been in point with updating their newer phones, better than most other companies.
My 7+ only cost me £79 as I got £440 for my plus and £300 for my S7 edge.i paid £912 for my 256GB 7 plus
however i got £440 for my 6s plus and will be selling my iPad pro 12.9 for £460 so really it's not a big deal.

Of course I could be wrong here, I'm not as up to date with Android as I used to be. But didn't Marshmallow launch about a year ago and Samsung began the Marshmallow update for the Galaxy S6 Edge around 4, maybe 5 months ago? That's a pretty big gap between Google releasing it and Samsung finally implementing it.

£440? That seems low, where did you sell it, or was it a lower storage device?
You want expensive? Go to Brazil. My wife is from the Philippines, and she said that a top of the line iPhone clost about 1000 USD. I was like WOW !!
The S6 had it well before the Moto x and I think before some htc and lg phones too
It was the 128GB 6S plus. I sold it to CPW.Of course I could be wrong here, I'm not as up to date with Android as I used to be. Yeah. I'd probably get ripped off or robbed if I used eBay/gum tree.Ooooffft. Well I suppose it's quick and easy but you loose far too much money selling/trading in with retailers. But, hassle free I guess.
You can also sell to Amazon. I don't know how it compares.Yeah. I'd probably get ripped off or robbed if I used eBay/gum tree.

Probably. I just noticed the links in .com .Does Amazon still do their trade-in programme in the UK, or is it just USA? I thought they shut it down in the UK.
I like Gum Tree never had a problem with it. Bought a 6S there yesterday and presently listing my 6 on there. Bought and sold lots of different thing there. Only problem I had was trying to sell Golf Clubs. Not much interest seems like its not the place to sell Golf Clubs.Yeah. I'd probably get ripped off or robbed if I used eBay/gum tree.
Unless you go on gumtree it's tough to get more than that. Comparisons website don't go above that.Of course I could be wrong here, I'm not as up to date with Android as I used to be.
