I got my Air on Friday. I got a battery pack as well from Walmart. So far, I love this phone.

At first, the 6.5" screen deterred me since I use a 6.1" iPhone 15 Pro, but I did my research and found that the caseless Air is slightly less wide than the Spigen and Otterbox cases I have for my 15 Pro. Combine that with the thinness and lightness and this phone feels amazing.

The single camera doesn't bother me because I use a Canon with a kit lens and a telephoto lens that takes better pictures anyways.

I'm quickly getting used to the single speaker.

I don't mind the USB 2.0 speeds of the port because I rarely use a cable to transfer videos and photos.

So, as a person who has been a lifelong Apple fan and appreciates good design, this is a great phone.

Having used the Pro Max over the years I found myself starting to become irritated with its heaviness and bulkiness. So when I read that the iPhone Air is 28% lighter and significantly less bulky I decided to give it a try.
  • I had rarely used the special lenses on my Pro Max I found the iPhone Air camera works well for my needs.
  • With both the Pro Max and the Air I've had to charge them once a day - battery life has never been an issue.
  • The lightness and ease of use of the iPhone Air makes it truly comfortable to use.
  • My only gripe is with the speaker. It sounds tinny and cheap.

I like my air but wish i would have got the 17 or 17 pro. Mostly because of the wide lens camera. The battery is fine for me. I love the form factor. I have had ut since launch day. But i didnt realize how much I use the wide lens camera. So I might look for a way to either sale my air or maybe just keep it and trade it in next year on an 18 not sure yet.

Here's a solution. It's a bit pricey, but Moment sells ultra wide lenses that can be used with the Air (you need to buy a case too in order to put the lens on). I don't have any Moment products, but this is just a suggestion.

I love mine so much I raved about it over the holiday weekend when visiting family after a cousin remarked on how thin my “Google phone” was. After he held my Air for less than a minute he said he was going to Apple the next day to purchase one and he did just that. Another cousin ordered one the same day he got to use mine for a couple minutes. The former is pretty tech savvy but didn’t even know the Air was a thing. The latter isn’t into tech at all and had a 12 PM but was ready for smaller/lighter. Holding/using really is understating for some!

Since I live 2 hr from an Apple Store and was not about to step into a Best Buy I had not held an Air in my hand before but had trusted my calculations. This reminds me of when I got a Logitech MX Master 3. As soon as I got it a family member asked to hold it and immediately went to Amazon to get one for himself. He's not tech savvy at all; he doesn't use any of the fancy features of it! Just the ergonomic feel.

Good deal. I would appreciate no old jokes, but mine was $799 through a consumer cellular deal.

Good value

Got mine set up now

Beautiful phone, the best they're made since the iPhone X and I've rocked every single Pro model since the X.

Feels like you're holding the future in your hand, haven't felt like that again since the iPhone X.

I always wanted a bigger screen but the pro max was always a fat brick for me but this is perfect, the C1X has been so good in my area for signal compared to what I had with 15/16 pro.

Had zero issues with battery or speaker, better than my 15/16 pro on battery and yes it's not as loud a speaker but it is absolutely fine unless you're some idiot who blasts music in public.

And the camera, it takes amazing photos and for MY use case I don't need anything else, I'm a quick point and shoot user for quick family photos that need speed to capture and not a production. Never used proRAW or cinematic, I guess I never needed a pro model and what I needed was a stunning phone with a fast chip, 120hz OLED display, great camera and battery, and good size.

I watched so many YouTubers spout the same nonsense over and over, "but but but I need the pro because I'm a content creator!!! and you should get the pro max too!!!"

You can literally see the fear in their eyes like they'd be deemed stupid or poor if they don't post about the Pro max every single day.

"Power user" or "content creator" is a load of boll$%ks made up by these status symbol chasers to give them an excuse to buy the pro max and brag about it, quite a few of them on here as well that seem to be offended that the Air looks better than the Pro models and it blows their clout chasing FOMO minds.

Couldn't have said it better myself!

Not sure it looks better or worse with that camera hump, think the cases make it look worse. I would like a bigger screen than my 16 pro but no .5 and at least a 2 x worries me, I am no camera expert just a point and shoot too.

Might have misunderstood you, but just to be clear, the iPhone Air does have a 2x, which is just a 12MP digital crop of the 48MP 1x Main photo. This is the same as the other iPhones (incl 17 Pro and Pro Max). It lacks the 0.5x Ultrawide and the 4x Telephoto Zoom.

A small but distinct difference, as the 2x at least gives you *some* zoom.

I assume there are a fair number of buyers in camps similar to mine where the features, or lack of, on the Air are dealbreakers in our daily use cases but I would never consider myself a 'power user' and certainly am not a content creator. Does it really come down to these people being jealous that the Air "looks better"? Honest question. I personally don't care for the look of the Air and have never purchased a phone due to looks so that is interesting to me.

This is what sealed the deal for me too. When I was checking photos of a recent trip to Japan, my most beautiful 16 Pro photos were zoomed in. However on checking the meta data these were still taken with the Main Camera, even some that were almost 4x. When I saw that I knew I wouldn’t miss the telephoto lens. The ultrawide is another story, but I’m managing… (even using the front facing camera at times)

Very impressed

How thin and light really is awesome. Make using a phone so enjoyable
The iPhone Air was by far the most pleasant phone I've held... that I can remember. That feeling made me want to use it.

I wish I hadn't decided to return it. lol

Yes, having a .5, 4x, 8x camera is nice but I rarely use those. That feeling the hand - you feel A LOT per day. Made me want to use the phone more - reading on it for hours was enjoyable - every time I picked that phone up, it was nice.
