Shower with it daily. Pool no. Pool is a salt water pool and unsure if that will cause any damage.

Between December 31 and January 29th, I swam (70 minutes laps) 3 x week and showered daily or 2x a day - no problem. Watch worked great. Set the workout to other and it measured HR to assess level of work out etc. On January 29th, I had a bad fall - was flat on my back for 17 days and haven't yet made it back to slippery surfaces like the showers at my health club and my pool etc.

I use mine in the shower every day after i make my exercises and no problem.

But i will definitely not use it in salt water like ocean/sea.

Your watch measured HR during the pool workouts? I have not done lap swimming with mine yet. However, I have been dying to now my HR during swims.

I shower with mine periodically as an efficient means of deep cleaning after a bunch of workouts. Also, if I wore it to a gym, I would shower with it there to safeguard against theft. Otherwise, no, I wouldn't shower with it.

I have been using mine in the pool since last June... Without any problems. Also daily showers

I prefer to wash under the faucet as the soap scum that will cling to your tile and shower doors could build up in the speaker hole, but everyone has a choice to do as they wish. My housekeeper does a great job on the showers but she does not do watches.

Enjoy!

All of you guys are so brave!

I would never risk taking it in the pool!

Does it count calories and activity if you swim?
I remember reading one post about someone saying they have an app that tracks laps and HR while swimming. Not sure if it works as I've never seen anyone else mention an app like that for swimming.

Yes, but it is just the Workout Other choice which is basically keeping tracking of workout time and heart rate for a generic assumption of calories burned based on my stats.

I've now completed about 40 workout others swimming for 30-45 minutes and I get about 325-400 calories. When I do weightlifting, I use the same Workout Other and it registers somewhere around 400 calories per hour. My average heart rate is higher for the swimming than weight lifting but I seem to lose the heart rate more

I shower with mine frequently, and I've been swimming in both pools and salt water. Granted, I have Appe Care+ just in case, but I pretty much wear mine without worry. If it dies, it dies.

I do blow on the speaker area gently after exposing to water to get rid of the small drops of water that accumulate when being submerged.

Never showered with it. When I first got the sport grey I would rinse it a lot dunel since the crown got stuck.

Sport gold I wipe off and clean. That's about it.

To all that have said "Yes" to showering or swimming with AW it would of been cool to know what band you're using. I've got a 3rd party link bracelet and worry that because it only cost me £40-£50 instead of £449 it might show signs of rust...

I have only showered with a sport band. I never wear any metal band or leather band for anything that I sweat in.

I don't make a habit of it, but I will shower with mine after workouts from time to time. Been doing so semi-regularly (maybe half a dozen times a month) since I got mine in July. No problems yet. I only have the sport band and the leather loop, and the leather isn't going in the shower. Like exxxviii said, if I did own a metal band I wouldn't be using it during workouts, so it wouldn't need to be rinsed very often.

I don't swim or shower with mine but I don't take it off to wash my hands or do the washing up so it gets submerged regularly with no problem so far.

Metal bands were the standard material for "sports" watches back before modern rubber-like materials were created. They had leather for dressy and everyday wear, and metal for rugged environments.

Of course you can get the metal bracelets wet, and of course you can rinse them out. Every time I wear one of my bracelet-equipped regular watches, I rinse it in the shower at the end of the day. Keeps the sweaty, dirty funk from building up between the links (and over the years, the dirt is what wears out the link pins, too).

Has anyone tried showering with one of the new nylon bands yet?
Not me, but if they're anything like the nylon strap I have for another watch, they'll take a while to air dry afterwards. Might be a good idea to put it on the charger while it dries.

I swim with mine but do not shower. Swimming is a workout, and should be tracked. Showering is not a workout and does not need to be tracker. Showering is the perfect time to let your watch charge.

Wow, those videos are amazing! Not sure if I have the balls to do that although I would love to keep my watch on at a water park. I love my Apple watch and would hate for anything to happen to it!
I wore my watch to Disney and went on all the water slides and wave pool and the hotels pool. It's something I wanted to track and I refuse to let water compromise my ability to track my health and fitness.

Each Apple Watch Sport comes with 1 year hardware warranty, so if something does happen, which is highly unlikely, they will fix/replace it.
[doublepost=1458925896][/doublepost]You do want to keep it on when doing something like washing your hands. You want to make sure the surface of your skin beneath the watch and band are clean so that germs and bacteria and dead skin doesn't build up. You want the watch and band to be at least rinsed and maybe a gently wash with soap to keep the band clean and bacteria free as well. It gets sweaty under the watched and your wrist and watch should be washed with a gentle soap to keep everything clean looking, and germ and bacteria free. No one likes caked-up dead skin cells and bacteria living on your sweaty wrist, right?
