Actually they do make a better product, with more expensive components that can’t be found in any android device. If apple is too expensive for you should definitely get a cheaper android device.

But I was under the impression that you had already switched away from the iPhone.

Not everybody agrees with everybody. Of course ur going to stick by them no matter what. I was like you. But they have lost sight of the consumer and making them happy.

I have the 10s max. I’m
Not going to give it away or sell it for less than I owe. I am getting my money’s worth and using it till it dies.

Actually it’s a question of expensive components nothing to do with your opinion on the subject only facts:
7nm Soc with an 8 core npu.
Nvme based storage
Face ID
120 hz touch sensing display
Dolby vision
Stainless steel frame
Etc etc.

Currently no android flagship offers any of these components or features, and it’s because these are quite expensive and android oems cant afford it.

Sure as long as apple keeps delivering premium smartphones great os updates that focus on a users privacy and an ecosystem to go with it, sure I will stick with the iPhone. But I wouldn’t call that “no matter what”.

If that were true no one would buy iPhones anymore, that’s simply not the case.

Your not making much sense here.

Anything is possible. I feel like smartphone prices are too high at 1000+ tbh mainly bc you can get great phones for less that aren’t flagship OR get a flagship at a discount.

These newer Samsung’s are nice looking imo and I heard you can get em at a discount then it just seems like unless you’re only for iOS it’d be a good option for some

As mentioned above lots of companies have died trying to maintain margins in a declining market. There is a price point where sales will fall too much and margins will fall regardless of the price. And smart phones being such a rapidly changing market, if your fan base leaves, they may never come back. Ask BB.

The next big thing could come from an unknown company that keeps margins small and slays the giant

That being said I’m on the IUP but I am questioning whether it is still worth it

And....that’s exactly what Apple doesn’t want you or others to do. They want the mind-set of the consumer to want to upgrade. That’s why they need to make changes in their pricing strategies/trade-in incentives. I’m actually more interested to see what they offer for trade-in versus the actual iPhone this fall.
I don't have confidence in Apple's trade-in value. It's always been minuscule. I understand, they're not in the business for used phones. I'm interested in what happens in September.

You’re very right I’d say. I think iOS is far more important to the consumer right now than having Apples latest flagship. The proof of that is the interest the XR and older devices are getting, over the more niche XS/XS Max series. If I was wrong than everybody would be spending over a grand on their iPhone but people simply aren’t.

I don't see them lowering the price, I believe they will be increase the prices in the markets they think they can. Sure hope I'm wrong about it.
