Do you think how much probability that we have for Mac pro update on 13/11

I dunno, it seems like there's a lack of rumors around this idea (other than the Intel chips becoming available).

I was expecting some kind of clue as to what might happen over the weekend, but as far as I can tell, there's been little in the way of that.

And since I don't think the update will be a silent upgrade, I guess I'm going to have to rescind my 111% predication and instead drop to... 25%
 
Do you think the launch of new commercials was meant to get people thinking about Apple BECAUSE they are launching new product(s) this week???

no more waiting, so tired of waiting. The processors are officially released, chop chop, hop to, me wants me new computer!!!

Must order... then wait for delivery then installing a bajillion apps. I've got things to do here Mr. Jobs. Come on. I want to give you thousands of dollars. Give me a good reason to.

I hate waiting sigh. :(

A couple of months ago, November, before the holidays, didnt seem like a big deal to wait, i was waiting till after leopard anyway; Now i dont really see the point :)

end of january is like next year :rolleyes:

Honestly, I couldn´t do that. Not when I´m so close to the "finish-line" :)

Hold on to your money if you can. For me this going to be a long time investment. I want to get the most out the money I spend. I´m sorry if you can´t wait any longer for work-related reasons. I hope for you, we´ll see it tomorrow or on Wednesday.
 
It seems as if everyone announcing the release of the 45nm processors is delivering in late Dec. at the earliest. What are the odds Apple scarfed up the first batch exclusivly? Slim - none? So it may be that one could announce but wait or just wait to announce and ship immediately. What do you think they will do? I am guessing they will wait unless they have some immediate supply.

So if the early shippers are 12/28 then why not wait until Jan and do it with a show?

I would rather have it now, but announcing tomorrow and waiting until January to get it versus announcing in January and getting it in January is essentailly the same thing...

I agree that "Apple marketing meetings this weekend" do not guarantee anything except Seasonal Employee Upgrades. :eek:

Why would anyone put off work just because they don't have the exact computer they want? You telling me none of your current computers can do the freelance work you need??

That is exactly why the new Mac Pro will not have a high-end video card.
Apple just doesn't like me.

if true that would be awesome... just wish that "apple should never release a product like xyz" and tada because they hate you you will get it just to annoy you

and if you are at it go through every thread and wish that the stuff people actually want will never get released ;)

Sorry, poorly worded as I was rushing out. I have a lot of freelance work that can get by on my G5 and I can wait for the MP. The freelance work can wait while the other projects render, lol.

The 8800 GT is honestly very likely for the Mac Pro as it's sort of Apple's ideal video card. Amazing price, performance, and minimal heat/power usage. It's one of those once in a rare while "perfect cards". I honestly would be incredibly surprised if the Mac Pro revision, whenever it does happen, does not include this card as an option.
