I generally like tattoos but I do think this would be both tacky and lame
To be sure, but it really depends on the sector he works in. If a person works for an insurance company or other rather conservative job, then its more likely if the tattoo is not easily covered up, he may have a difficult time. If he works for a internet startup, then that might not matter at all.Having said that, I'll also note that interviewers frequently take aspects of appearance over which the applicant has control into account.
It depends on where you put it. If it's on your neck or the small of your back, then it's tacky. It's not that I'm afraid of people liking it or not, I couldn't care less about that. But Steve was loved by many and hated by others. I mean I don't think it would be like getting a Hitler quote tattooed on me or something, but... I don't know. A good friend of mine has a Carl Sagan quote on her forearm and it's beautiful. I would like to put mine maybe on my upper arm or shoulder blade.
Some of the quotes I'm considering are the usual suspects: "Stay hungry, stay foolish", "The ones who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do", and quite possibly my favorite, "Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice."
Any opinions, questions or stories of your own tattoos or those of people you know are more than welcome; nothing is off limits.

I agree.I generally like tattoos but I do think this would be both tacky and lame
I'm thinking the same thing, I've seen some really wonderful color tattoos, but I do question the longevity of them. They look nice, but how will they hold up in 10 years? I'm much more partial to black and gray myself. If I got a tattoo, it would never be in color because it fades and maybe something very personal to me like my children's name or a symbol but not one of a brand. So no logo from Apple or any company on me.
That's actually kind of unnerving in a sense.or celebrity you never met.
Yet, that is some tattoo. Not that I'd get it, but some great artwork.Be careful, you start with a sentence and might end up with a viking graveyard on your back

Op - if 'stay hungry, stay foolish' reflects your personal philosophy and you like it then great. If I saw that tattoo on someone I wouldn't recognize it as a Job's quote. I'd probably just think to myself: ok and roll my eyes. But I am an admitted ******.
My daughter tattooed this on me while I napped on the couch. View attachment 645280
LOL with a sharpie?!
