Nope never especially since I am on call ever other week, but I do close all the apps and power it off and on every other week just to clear out the cobwebs

I don't have a landline so mine stays on all the time. Even if I did have a land line I probably wouldn't turn it off.

No, I leave mine on all the time. At night, I leave it charging on the other side of the room. I sleep better.

I only turn my phone off to fix any network problems I'm having. Usually doing resetting network through the iOS doesn't seem to work.

As with most people, my phone is on 27/4/365. No reason to turn it off. I dock it and charge it everynight, and it's also my alarm clock... except for weekends, it gets the "silent" treatment when I go to bed.

Don't really see the benefit of turning it off.

Since launch day in 2007, I have never turned my iPhones off.
Never. :)

But then again, I Sleep vs Shut Down my computers...

I guess I'm the only person in the whole world that turns their iPhone/iDevices off at night.

Heck, like I said, I turn my iPad off when I'm done using it. :p

I turn my iPhone off every night. Why?

  • Saves battery
  • no interruptions while I am sleeping

To me this is like asking if I unplug my landline from the telephone jack in the wall (Mind you, I barely remember where my landline is anyway, I think it received a call back around March sometime...). I don't understand why you would want to, let alone serving any particular purpose?

No. I leave mine on 24/7, here's my reasoning:

I am afraid of missing a call late at night from a family member or friend that got hurt, something happened or death. It's my fear that I will not receive the call because of sleep.

But, on those rare nights I do hate getting those drunken calls and if thats the case, I turn it off completely.

Why would you want to turn your phone off when the phone has a sleep function?

Saves battery

That's one that I just don't understand at all. Why do people not plug their phones in at night? The electricity costs to charge a phone are minuscule, and you end up with a fully charged battery every morning - why wouldn't you? This makes even less sense to me than turning the phone off at night
