Anyone else experiencing re springing issues with the iPhone 17 Pro Max? Went into the store and they replaced the logic board due to it showing as a hardware issue. After that didn’t resolve, they replaced the device. Still occurring. Now the same hardware issue shows on the new device. They are replacing the device again now.

The recommendation was to setup the phone using a new iCloud account to see if that resolved the issue but it isn’t realistic for me to use a different iCloud. It seems to happen 1-2 times per day and is completely random. The phone slows down usually before it happens. Not a full restart but just a quick 3 second or so re spring, and then shows the lock screen after.

Yep, this was mostly on Betas though before, but now iOS26.2 has made them what almost seems like a weekly thing.
It is odd though, absolutely nothing is lost, if it happens while typing message or downloading a file the respring happens then the phone literally continues as if nothing had happened, apps are exactly where they were with no refresh/no saved state, the phone is running as I had just momentarily swiped out and back in.

if it would know what "re-springing" actually is, I might be able to answer the question.
No issues I am aware of with my launch day 17PM

Respring(ing) means a spontaneous crash of springboard to the lockscreen or a restart. Springboard is the 'app' that displays your home screen.

Resprings can be a common occurrence with jailbroken devices and issues with jb tweaks or apps. Which doesn't mean OP's device is jailbroken, just that there seems to be some issue that is causing Springboard to crash and dump OP back to the lockscreen.

Thanks for the explanation, don't have that issue on my 17PM, latest iOS

I have a 17 Pro, and I’m currently rocking 26.3 Beta 2. I haven’t experienced a respring in years.
I have held iPhone's since 2014, never knew what a re-spring is. But on iPhone 17 Pro Max since iOS 26.2 RC, re-spring has become a weekly thing. Already submitted a bug report.

Did anyone contact Genius Bar or Apple Support on this issue?

We have to wait I think maybe the issue will solve itself, I dont know what to do, even changing device I read seems not to solve the problem.
It’s not possible related to icloud account, i’m starting to think an app, a particular setting…. Dunno
For me its not particular stress, it happens not so often from november

I am using 17 PM since the mid-November, not a single respring so far. Could it be related to specific configuration/setting?

17PM 256 (blue) This issue has been constant, and I feel like I’ve been stuck in a troubleshooting loop: restart, wipe, restore from backup, restore as new, logic board replacement… then rinse and repeat. Still no solution.

A replacement was never offered. My Genius treated me like I was imagining things and said that if it happens again, I’d get an ancient “loaner” while this unit disappears into Engineering for an unknown amount of time and only "maybe" gets resolved.

Honestly, I’ll sleep better tonight just knowing this tiny bug isn’t only happening to me.

Hello, I have a similar problem. I bought an iPhone 17 Pro Max in October and, a month later, unexpected restarts began. I requested support at the Apple Store in Madrid, but they didn't find any problems. I was suggested to restore the phone from my Mac and make a backup to iCloud. However, the problem persisted. After requesting technical service again, I was informed that it was a hardware problem and they changed my Logic Board last week. After two days, the problem returned and I requested a replacement iPhone, which arrived last Thursday. Yesterday, the phone unexpectedly restarted again and, after factory resetting it today, it restarted twice more. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? The replacement iPhone is new, with zero charge cycles, but it arrived with several problems. Apple is responsible for not being able to use my phone normally for two weeks, and I'm worried that this will happen to my wife at any time. I have tried several solutions, such as restoring WhatsApp without backup or photos, but the problem persists.
