Not at all, and neither does the added bulkiness. Both are such minor differences it's not even noticeable to me. The extra weight and thicker size were the only things concerning me about the New iPad but when I actually held it in my hands I was like huh, this is what people are complaining about?! Lol It put all my worries to rest. I'm loving the New iPad!
 
I am very happy with my new iPad, because it is LIGHTER (much lighter) and much thinner than my original iPad (iPad 1). The difference is very pronounced and very noticeable. I never owned an iPad 2, only used one a couple times at the Apple Store. The iPad 3 (new iPad) is much easier to hold than the iPad 1, lighter, and feels better and is shaped better (flat and slimmer) than the curvy bulky iPad 1. So, I am happy, no problems here!
