The Pencil works SO much better than any Surface stylus ever created that it's worth every penny. (SP1 and SP3 owner here).

That's good to know. What makes it so much better? It's just so hard for me to justify the price when I could get a Surface Pro 4 which I probably will end up getting. But like I said if they came out with a mini iPad Pro I would be all about it.

No offset between the tip and the ink, significantly less lag between where the tip is and where the ink starts to register, no wavy lines when drawing diagonally, etc. Overall it just is a bunch of little things that add up to the first stylus I've ever used that feels pretty much as good as pen and paper in a number of ways. With my Surfaces I always felt like I was working around the stylii rather than them working for me.

I agree, except that it still has very little resistance from the glass screen. My handwriting comes out much worse than pencil and paper. But it depends on the program. OneNote is the worst, NotesPlus the best -- a lot of smoothing going on.

Lol, spoken like a gent that has NEVER sold Apple gear on eBay
I have sold plenty of stuff on eBay, though I now prefer Swappa and Craigslist.

At one pint the Pencil was in high demand, and short supply, neither of which is the case, I doubt very much he'll recoup 90% of his cost, especially when you have to factor in fees
