This was brought up in another thread, the battery in the iPhone 13 actually has more capacity then what is advertised. I looked at my battery using the CoconutBattery app on my Mac and it showed the max capacity to be 4472 mAh and its design (advertised) capacity to be 4352 mAh. This means that the battery in my phone is actually 102% when fully charged. This is part of the reason why when the phone is changed to 100% it takes a bit more time for it to drop to 99%. For me I am sticking to charging to 85% and not going lower than 20%.
Can confirm this.

My max capacity is 4402 mAh. Coconut Battery says 71% charged. iPhone battery indicator says 75%.

Is there anyway to install an app or something that stops charging at a certain %? Wanna leave it overnight but not charge to 100%
I bought myself a HomeKit smart plug, the Wemo smart plug. I then create a iOS automation script which will turn off the charger at the percent of my chioce. This means I can start changing when I go to bed and it will stop charging while I sleep.

For those who don't have this issue, did you restore from backup when setting up your brand new iphone 13?

I noticed something interesting. I went back and looked at the information given by CoconutBattery again. What I noticed was the Full Charge Capacity started to rise as the phone was being charged. And as the battery charge closed the gap between the percentage reported by CoconutBattery and iOS got smaller. So right now my Full Charge Capacity went from 4472 to 4485, I stopped charging the battery at 86%. CoconutBattery is reporting 85.2%.

I am curious if this is part of the calibration issues we might be seeing/

Yesterday mine was stuck on 100 for half the day then it suddenly dropped to 65 and after that it’s been working. Let’s see what today brings, the day has just started here.
Wow! I show the apple support guy a screenshot of my battery graph and he agreed that it was not normal for the battery to drop instantly from 79% to 65% after a restart. I do not think the diagnostic which the support ran will detect any battery abnormality at all, except for abnormal shutdown due to failing battery health.

I always charge to 100% fast charging and MagSafe wireless charging, sold my 12 pro max with 99% battery health, never leave my phone on the charger for longer than 30m once it’s reached 100%
You had your ip12pm from nov 2020 till sep 2021? Heavy usage or normal use case?

I am using a 12 watt charger. I use the Wemo HomeKit smart plug. I created a Shortcut automation to turn off the charger when it reaches 85%. This way I don’t have to worry about leaving it connected to the charger over night.
