I think I know what is going on here. I have not done any app clips so there would be no Settings->App Clips for me.

I've had to restart my phone (I have the bug that puts all of my downloaded apps in the Other folder in the App Library, so I thought restarting the phone would fix it). I don't have any issues with the battery percentage.

For anyone interested I created a "Show Brightness" shortcut then will show the current brightness percent level. This is what I have been using to display the current brightness level.

Calculate Device Details.Current Brightness * 100
Format Number Calculation Result to 0 decimal places
Show Result Formatted Number %
Something that is cool about the Show Brightness shortcut, is you can ask Siri "Show Brightness" and she will show the current display brightness. If you have "Hey Siri" enabled Siri will also speak the current brightness. No more guessing.

There is a YouTube video where someone took the iPhone 13 and put it in ice water and then ran geek bench. The multi-core score was about 5092. 😂
getting embarrassing now. 😁😂 Apple could have a 2 year break, these other guys still wouldn't catch up. 😁

Just imagine what the results would have been if the iPhone 11 Pro Max was included. It looks like the Samsung phone display dimmed on all the tests. The iPhone 13 Pro Max display looks really good, nice cool side color like the other displays.
The S21U throttles as soon as you look at it. 825 single core score lol.

Can’t believe they introduced it at a higher price than the 12 pro max, wouldn’t pay $100 for it.

I have the same issues. Battery percentage gets stuck at 95%. Need to reboot when that happens. 15.01 iOS. So probably have to wait for the new update to address this issue. Bothersome!

Yeah please do. If the engineers confirmed the issue. I am storming to apple and demanding a free apple care package. Booting and rebooting gonna kill the battery prematurely.

Shutting down and restarting many times doesn't have to ruin the battery. the level of demand of the cpu and the battery are as if you were playing a game so don't worry about that

Update on the issue: it’s gone away over time and battery life has stayed about the same (9-10h SOT on 13PM). However, restarting still takes a few percent off the battery. I’m still running iOS 15.0.1.

Anyone with 15.0.2 willing to report anything so far? I’m hesitant to update.

I think the reason the battery level drops on a restart is that iOS is reading the actually battery level again. If you look at your phone using Coconut battery you will see that what iOS is reporting vs the actual battery level is off. iOS actually reports a higher battery level. Hopefully in iOS 15.1 the battery charging/reporting algorithms are fixed.

I have updated to iOS 15.0.2. Before the update it was 71%, after the update it was 67%. Maybe more power was consumed in the update process but I think the problem has not been solved. I am also sure that it is an iOS problem when calculating and reading the battery percentage. I've been talking to an expert battery and operating systems engineer and he's told me that. Hopefully soon they settle it.

iOS has to be reading the battery info periodically. It could be that internally there code is not reading the battery info often enough. Plus I wish Apple would add another type of calculation based on screen on-time/off-time since the last charge.

Another update on my low power mode battery life extreme hyper milage test. I have done a calculation on the estimated on-screen time. Right now I have 5 hrs 32 mins screen on-time, 30% battery used. This would make the estimate of screen on-time for 100% battery to be 18 hrs 26 mins. That is insane bonkers battery life.

I can see why no reviewer would like to do a battery test of the 13 Pro Max in low power mode. I am going to wait to update to 15.0.2 until after I finish my battery test.

Just reset network settings, seems to improve the safari slowdowns for a bit, safari is still nowhere near as quick as it was before. 🤦‍♂️

Let’s see if my battery percentage gets stuck. 🤦‍♂️

In what way is Safari sluggish for you? It seems pretty quick on its feet. I have not experienced and slow downs. It seems very responsive in interactions, scrolling, loading web pages.

Maybe that is the resolution. Take a look at Coconut battery and see if there is still a difference between that and what iOS is reporting for the battery percentage.
Don’t have it installed on my Mac, is it trusted software? What does the app icon look like?

Been sluggish for a while, loading bar hangs, some websites don’t load, need to kill safari and reopen it again.
