1) You are insane if you think Tim Cook will use a product announcement to describe failure.

2) There are a lot of rumors, but many times the rumors don't match the release. Remember the iPhone mini? Or the iPhone 5 that was to release last Fall? Remember the case company that actually made wedge-shaped iPhone 5 cases last year? Remember when the iPad 2 was going to have a retina display? In other words, what you think you know now is not necessarily the truth or the whole truth.

I didnt think about this until now. Last year we all expected a full redesign with all the leaks and the cases coming from china with the teardrop shape. Then we got the 4S and Siri and no one really saw it coming. So hopefully this is the same thing. While I wouldn't be super disappointed it does suck there is no real surprise with all these leaks if it turns out to be true. I kept hoping all those leaked 4" screen models are fakes from Apple and that the actual new iPhone is something completely different and new.

I believe the leaked phones/parts enough to bail and get the S3. Bottom line, i wanted a WIDER phone. Got impatient and bought it two weeks ago . So if putting out a bogus phone was the plan, it didnt work, at least for me. Having owned every new iphone on the first day since the first in 07, I'll wait until the iphone gets wider and get that one.

I miss the excitement of seeing the newest iphone like tomorrow, but IF the phone is like what I've seen as leaks, I'll know i made the right decision. If not, oh well, id only feel bad if the new iphone was 4.3 inches or larger - which i don't believe will be the case. In fact don't believe that will ever happen.

I hope the iPhone 5 will be the same size as or smaller than the iPhone 4/4S. I'm satisfied with the size of my penis.

I've seen the new iPhone today. It's smaller, might even be a tad narrower (I didn't have hands on), with a bigger dock connector. Full liquid metal (or fibreglass) back, all white, makes coffee for you, and gives back massages. Headphone jack on side. Looks very nice!

If Apple in fact does unveil the iPhone looking the same as what we have seen in the leaks, I think it's only fair that I begin to get concerned about Tim's ability to control the workings in the company. Apple thrives on secrecy. These leaks no matter what you say go completey against that. Sure some leaks are going to get out that WILL be true, but to have the entire phone leaked before launch is a complete failure. If this becomes routine every year, suspense in the future will become watered down and our expectations won't be the same. The only reason why everyone's is so excited this year is because deep down in side, we are all hoping that the leaks just may be fake and that apple will in fact release not only a taller but wider phone, so we are crossing our fingers.

they aren't controlled, and probably aren't a good thing

unless they were meant to distract from sales of competitor devices
but that could come at the cost of less current 4s sales
or watering down the punch of the iphone 5
