Hi everyone,

I'm going on a city trip to London this weekend and I'm planning to buy myself an Apple Watch at selfridges. I'm a guy and have relatively small wrists so I'm planning to buy the 38mm. Do you think selfridges will have any left in stock on saturday? I'm mostly aiming towards the sports version because of the price, but I think that the SS model will look better in person

Just phoned Selfridges. They've only got 38mm in stock:

AWS with blue/green/white bands

SS with black/white bands and classic band.

Any updates on DSM?

I just know that SS BSB will be out of stock tomorrow when I get there... That's what I've got on order from Apple.

It would be so much easier if I could phone them today, pay over the phone and just pick the flipping thing up tomorrow. I'm sure for you too.

Yeah that is what I did. I explained my situation to them and they said that they unfortunately couldn't take any reservations. I also called DSM and they wouldn't give me any stock information. I'm currently planning to first check Selfridges on Saturday and, if they are out of stock, make an appointment at DSM to finally get a watch on Sunday. I hope I'll get one because the Watch hasn't launched in my country yet (Netherlands). But is it just me, or does it seem that DSM have a generally bigger stock then Selfridges?

I also hope so because if I had to go back to the store on Sunday it would be a bit of a problem with my schedule. However, since the colour of the band doesn't really concern me (except pink) I'm just hoping for the best at Selfridges, I could always buy a black or white band later.

Selfridges have the 38mm and have done for a while. They recieved one big delivery of this and not much else. DSM on the other hand gets deliveries of all models quite regularly.
If I were you I would first port of call head to DSM on saturday morning and book an appointment for sunday. Only then you should head to selfridges and at least you are covered if selfridges dont have what you want.

I also hear selfridges have bands too, in case the colour you want isnt available.

Spoke to DSM just now and he said they tend to have everything in stock but you cant reserve one and its a case of get there in person to make an appointment and then hope they have what you want. Might be worth getting SOMETHING and then selling it for profit if all else fails (I dont want to be one of those people at all but it might make sense of the two hour journey there lol)

I have just got back from DSM. Got a 42mm SS with classic buckle. Was out side the shop by 10:30 a guy came out with an iPad and booked me in for 4pm. The only 42mm SS they had was with the classic buckle. They had a few 38mm SS with the sports bands (didn't ask about any other bands, sorry).

As stated before they have a quite a few of the sports models available.

All in all great experience. Store wasn't even officially open yet and the guy came out and booked me in for the same day. Had a 6 hour wait for my appointment but he was adamant I'd get the one I wanted, which thankfully I did.

Why oh Why is this company getting away with deliveries when people that have ordered way in advance aren't getting theirs !!!! Not on!!!:mad::mad:

It's quite an awkward way of ordering, especially for anyone who doesn't work or live in London, to have to make an appointment then go back some time later.
I phoned Selfridges and they have 38 SS WSB/BSB in. Oddly the lady kept telling me it would be quicker to order online when she clearly had said they had the 38mm SS in.. Lets see how my day goes tomorrow to see if I can fit it in..

Selfridges London

Was at the Selfridges Apple concession this morning.

They had Milanese in the 38 & 42, all sport strap colours in all sizes (apart from Black sport with SG pin).

On friday when I was there they had LL in brown and black.

They haven't, and apparently won't be getting the link in until June/July.

They had loads of 38mm's on both Friday and this morning. They haven't had any 42's.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

David

Still waiting to find there the 38mm black sport model. Is there any chance?

After reading these posts I've decided to check Selfridges first for the SS BSB 38mm, does anyone know if they are low on stock on these or do they expect to have them in stock for a while?

DSM Visit

Just got back from DSM again (as I explained earlier its 3 mins from my office).

They have SS BCB and SG BSB in 42mm.

Picked up a 42 SG BSB to see what it's like to compare to my SS BCB that I've had for a few weeks to see if I prefer it as everyone seems to be raving about it so much!

Not sure what they had in 38mm. Nice bunch of guys tho, much better now it's calm down.

Any chance you would get me one of the 42mm space greys. Would be happy to travel down to London knowing there is the watch I want rather than a wasted trip (4 hr round trip)

Happy to provide some beers for the deal :)

Thanks for the information about the Milanese 42mm band, I have one on order and it's currently at 7-8 weeks delivery.

Hi mate,

Unfortunately not- It's not that I wouldn't, its simply the fact that I'm not allowed.

It was my third purchase, and I shouldn't have got away with that one but I managed to blag it.

Don't get me wrong- they're strict on appointments but as I walk past daily I was able to catch them off guard, wouldn't like to chance it for the 4th time.

Do you mean the standalone bands, or are you saying they just had the Watches for sale in pretty much all band formats?

Standalone bands. They had no 42mm watches for sale in Selfridges, haven't done the whole time.

Dover Street Market & Selfridges - London, UK

Just called Selfridges. No 42mm bands that aren't Sport in stock.
