I called today at 10AM, as a previous poster made it seem like they had SS models in stock. Alas, only 38mm sport. Knew it was too good to be true.
I went into selfridges at 1.45pm - they had steels in white sports band, black and classic buckle. I was in a rush as I had a con call at 2 (selfridges need a coffee shop, I ended up loitering in a quiet backstreet...) then had to be on the south bank for 3 so no time to ask about what spare bands they had.
Bought mine and was out in 5 mins. Just got home and finally opened the box!
If anyone can get to DSM tomorrow and get me a SG Sport I would happily drive down Saturday with beer in hand!!
Not wishing to rain on the parade I don't think anyone can. the photo ID and come back later is so you buy it for you. Do they set it up there and then given they ask you to take your phone with you? Selfridges offered to but as I was panicking about the time I declined.

Thing is, it will be tough to get more than 1 watch off DSM. This will only work if the person you're asking is not interested in getting an Apple Watch.

I meant someone buy it FOR me and me give them the money when I drive down as I'm a 2hr journey away so I would have to chance getting there for 9am and make an appointment and HOPE they have the watch I want or a wasted journey
I'm glad you got one! Please don't tell me that it was the 42mm SS that they had in stock?!
Argh then I wonder if the member of staff who served me hadn't been drafted in from an Apple Store.. He pointed me to the poky Starbucks up the road which was full and far too noisy! he just said there was the food hall... I haven't been in selfridges for about 15 years+
I went to DSM earlier today, they had an abundance of 38mm models.
No 42mm sport models, only but a couple Apple Watch model.
They also said they have an amount allocated for the day and once they hit that they can't sell any more of that type. Over 30 sports were available today, the woman there said 90% of people, guys especially are going for 42mm SG sport model, and if you don't have an appointment early, you're likely to miss out.
They said they were expecting a big delivery next Tuesday.

First post ever but wanted to share my experiences of Apple Watch hunting yesterday at DSM and Selfridges.
So I went into Selfridges yesterday and they had all models of 38mm available. Great guy in there, had a long chat with him and he actually persuaded me not to do the silly thing and get a 38mm just because they were available.
I went to DSM and again great guys in there. Shout out to Louise (who was dealing with appointments with the iPad). I asked about getting a same day appointment as I was only visiting for the day and they said no chance. As I was walking away she ran out and tapped me and said they'd literally just had a cancellation as I was in there so I could come in now and take the appointment.
Long story short I left with a 42mm space grey sport w/ BSB. So lucky!
The good news is they definitely have stock of the popular models. The bad news is if you're planning on making a day trip you're unlikely to be as fortunate as I was. So thank you as well to the person who actually rang up to cancel!

I think so.....sorry didn't pay that much attention to the 38's as I wasn't interested in them. Sorry not much use but as I say I think yes they did have them but can't be 100%.

Got mine from DSM roughly a month ago, 42mm SS Milanese.
Just went there on the Monday morning without an appointment and queued for about an hour. At the time they were saying no walk ins etc but I think it was purely to shorten the queue that had amassed outside.

Just picked up 38MM sports with white band in Selfridges. They had only 38mm. The sports in white/blue/green. They have SS in White/black sports bands and leather buckle.
I have a 42mm Milanese on order but wanted to try it out for a couple of weeks till I get it.

I went to Selfridge's yesterday. They only have 38mm watches. They have only ever had 38mm watches. They have no plans to sell 42mm watches any time soon.
I went to DSM yesterday at 10.30am. I was first in to book an appointment. I got an appointment for today at 11am. They have limited stock. They have 42mm Sport watches, but no Space Grey. They have 42mm on the Watch. They also had a couple of Edition versions. The girl told me they will get more stock on Tuesday, but no guarantee of anything. I would have to go in store, in person to book another appointment. You can only book an appointment 24 hours in advanced. They are not budging on this.
