Rarely drink at all. I'll have a single drink if I'm in a social gathering, but that's about it. I was never a drinker though.

just had my last drink

hopefully this last a bit longer than last time i quit drinking:confused:

what made me stop.

must be 24 bottles of beer. plus ? number of pints? vodka?

23 nearly, and i do not really see myself drinking much. Tonight i will have maybe 8 cans of beer, in 3-4 days i might have another 8. Althou most people do not drink much i am surrounded with people who drink a lot and maybe because of that i see that drinking twice a week is not "that" much.
I also used to drink on average twice a week during my years at university. I drank enough to get (piss) drunk every time, so yeah, 8 cans of beer or more sounds about right. I was beginning to feel it in the end, though. I don't think it's possible to keep up that habit and not become somewhat of an alcoholic.

Now I drink one or two times a month on average and rarely get overly drunk... it's about time I do that soon, though. :D

I usually have one or two glasses of wine a night - sometimes I'll do beer - and sometimes I won't have anything. But when I'm making dinner I'll pour a glass as I cook and have another with the meal - but sometimes two glasses is 1/2 a bottle - it all depends on how you pour and the size of the glass and if I've been cooking for several hours :D

That's a lot. Hardly anybody I know drinks that much. Most drink 1-3 times a week, and usually only one or two drinks at a time.

Personally, I don't drink that often - three or four times a month, and usually only one drink at a time. I like wine and (good) beer - hate hard liquor.

In college it was straight through Wednesday through Saturday every night at the bars, every once in awhile a house party. Either way it all meant one thing, I was getting drunk and that usually meant in the neighborhood of 6-20 beers (depending on glass size). Not every week was like that but many were.

Once I graduated and started working things slowed down to just Friday and Saturday with an occasional Thursday thrown in if I was taking Friday off.

Once I got married it cut down to maybe once a week and cut the average down to maybe 2 beers at a time.

Once I had a kid I made a decision that unless we are out at a party I won't have a drink until after she's in bed, and I won't touch any alcohol at all if I have to drive with my daughter in the car. At home I might have 2 beers 1-2x a month. More beer gets used for cooking in my house than my liver sees. On the few occasions I travel to Wisconsin to visit my family the averages go up for that time period, as they would when around any of my college friends (but I haven't seen them since my wedding).

I'm definitely a lightweight compared to my prime, but that's really a good thing. I've had my fun with alcohol now I'm just having fun.

I'm a cheep date, one Mikes Lemonade did it for me a few weekends ago....
whenever i drink i turn bright red...any doctors know what that means...?

It probably means you are lacking an enzyme that helps the liver process alcohol. I hear it's common in people of Asian descent. They get red in the face, sick at the stomach, etc. This must be unfortunate for the Japanese salaryman, since it's usually expected of him to go out drinking with his superiors after work.

I'm not a doctor though, nor do I play one on TV.

I don't really drink anymore, because it makes me TIRED. But come to think of it, so does just about everything else.

LOL, what is that?

Hair of the dog, means another drink.

Its shortened from "Hair of the dog that bit you" back to ancient thaumaturgic beliefs that like cures like, so the fix a dog bite you drink a potion with dog hair, preferably from the offending dog.

In the case of a hangover the solution is more drinking. :) You have to be sober to have a hangover.

Life is too short not to have a good time... and fortunately for us, God wanted us to have fun, that's why He created beer. :) Really though, i'm all about being responsible, it's not fun if somebody gets hurt or killed, that's why there's always a DD.

But, it's funny, in college I was a liquor guy, and i hated beer. Now that i'm older, I can't drink liquor if i want to pace myself, and enjoy the night. Also, I think beer tastes good. Sam Adams is good... the best is New Castle! Best beer ever, but it's only good fresh... otherwise it gets skunky really easily.

Here, Here. Preach on my Brother!!

I never drink alcohol either. Seems to be more of us around here than I thought.
