Your a joke dude. Honestly!! I won't even bother wasting time arguing with people like you. Its a waste of time and energy.
^^^^^^^^^absolutely stunning weisjt, wow  , Ive never been a big fan of the S4, but I may just have to try that color combo.

Yup the Vapor Pro "just" works, but but but......wait a second, the GPS signal gets shot, according to most folks who have tested it. But hey, twist the facts whichever way you want, you are the saint, lol :D

Your bias and intentions are apparent from the way you've chosen to pick a fight in this thread and announcing how the vapor pro is perfect in every respect, when its not, and also badmouthing the electron S4 and everyone else who chooses to have a positive opinion about it. And my "bias" is apparent in the way I reviewed the Vapor 4 as one of my favorite cases (still LOVE my satin nickel even though it does have an effect on signal) and not being so enamored with the vapor Pro due to its issues which include GPS problems and a high sticker price (an absolute ripoff considering the GPS issue.....thank heavens for the Pro knockoffs ;) :D, the pricing on them makes the issue more palatable).

No I have not tried the case but I would rather have an all aluminum case than a half plastic one that has been questionable from the get go. The element has been solid in all area's and they didn't have to use plastic on half the case to get the same or better results!

Also a gentleman on here reported that when he just put on 1 half of the case his signal dropped almost to an usuable state with the e13.

Don't make a comment about a case you have not tested. Also, in my completely unbiased opinion, it was not questionable from the get go. If such a gentleman made such a comment, would you be so kind as to point me toward that post?

Chris is exactly correct on this. This is what I was trying to explain because Verizon is pretty much known for using 850 MHZ everywhere which won't hardly penetrate a house let alone a metal case. Then you have at&t that uses 1900 and will penetrate cement and other very hard and thick objects. Verizon has gone with the first method because the signal will travel further giving them better coverage in most places, At&t is just the opposite. So neither is bad, just bad for case manufacturers for the Verizon phone. That is why I was so impressed by what Element was able to do with their case!

I do have to agree with you on this very strongly. :)

lol, whatever scelzifan says, goes! How dare you question his opinions and intentions? He is a saint  If you had a different experience or have an opinion contrary to his........, Well Sir !, you must be lying, lmao.

That was plain uncalled for. Whatever he says does NOT always go, especially since he has not tried the E13ctron.

I have a good idea, @weisjt, @polzii, and @scelzifan let's all stop argiung and start getting back to the thread, which is the E13ctron case, here are my contributions for the Hybrid:

Does the the hybrid back match the polished or matte black better?

Great pics but can you do some straight on shots. I never see straight on shots. I'd like to see how the case looks from the front.

For some reason when people take shots of this case and the vapor case, they feel compelled to put the phone on an angle. This is not a criticism just that I'd like to see how it looks when I'm holding it.

Sure, its post #866 and then I am done in this thread. He reported in great detail how his phone reacted when he used the Verizon version of this case.

most of us take shots at a angle or side views to show cutouts and the two piece design. here is a shot of the front. the hybrid piece looks just like the original aluminum piece

Awesome thanks. :)

Here is the post I was talking about. He explains it to a T. I am done after this post. You wanted to see it so there it is. Take care fellows.

So did the jailbreak today (with the new 4.2.7 untether :D)

I am not so happy with the results. If people care about screenshots, fine, but here are my tests in my home, all in 1 location:

Case on: -97db
Case off: -86 db
Case on: -101 db
Case off: -77 db
Case on (front only, thinking maybe hybrid back would be better): -99 db
Case off: -84 db

So at the most generous, I am getting -84-86 db naked, and -97-101 with the case on. A 13-15 db drop seems like a lot to me for what was considered one of the better aluminum cases for signal.

I wouldn't care if it didn't affect performance, but I have been having some problems with missed/dropped calls, and my battery is draining faster (I think because my network mode is flipping back and forth).

Can someone knowledgeable please comment here? I am not sure if this is the best I can expect with an aluminum case and wait for the hybrid back, or if I should return it. Is it possible there is an issue with the liners or something? I am grasping at straws, because I really like the case...

An officer and...

It is very nice to be referred to as a gentleman by all of you :)

Here are my thoughts on the e13ctron in light of the hybrid back being available.

I did have a negative experience with the e13ctron personally. I ordered the s4v (verizon version) the day it was released. Within a second on the phone, I saw a -10-13 db drop, that resolved when the case came off. Where I live/work, this was enough to kick the phone off 3G so it was significant to me.

I knew the hybrid back was coming soon which would "open up" the back of the phone, so I thought to myself - what happens when only the front is covered in aluminum? So I put the phone on the table, and laid just the liner and front half on the case. Same drop in signal within a few seconds. I even got a replacement set of liners thinking maybe they were faulty, but no difference. Same deal on only the back. At that point I returned the case, as I didn't think the hybrid back would matter, right? I bought the Vapor Pro Spectra and haven't looked back...

Summary thoughts:

1) This might just have been my phone, as Chris975d says other Verizon users have been happy with the case. Or, as Scelzifan has pointed out, the different frequencies of the network may require an entire redesign of aluminum cases (e.g. the Vapor Pro). I don't have enough data to comment conclusively.

2) The e13ctron is an excellent case. I loved the fit, the finish, and the color combos look great, especially with the new Chrome options.

3) This is the only hybrid case on the market I would have considered. The final design is ingenious, and it doesn't look cheap the way some of the others do (see my comments on the atomic). I really would have held out and ordered the hybrid back if it hadn't failed the half on/half off test.

4) Jacob was very professional and customer service was top notch. The company is easy to deal with.

Bottom line - trying to stay relevant to this thread:

AT&T users should have no reservations about this case whatsoever.

Verizon users maybe (just maybe) should exercise some caution. I suspect YMMV, so try it out for yourself, but it will be quickly apparent if it doesn't work. I would say go ahead and get the hybrid unless you don't like that color on the back. It's cheaper, sturdy, and can only help signal. If it doesn't work, e13ctron refunds 100% (no restocking fee) including their shipping. So you are only out your return shipping cost - not bad at all.

Probably more than 2 cents in the end, sorry.

Thanks for all the pics weisjt, GORGEOUS case, cheers.

@Austin M., about the "whatever scelzifan goes " comment, your sarcasm meter is BROKEN. :D, cheers.

@scelzifan, I see that u now realize that u r not the saint that you think you are. hence your pathetic attempt at trying to browbeat others. Its you who has now been exposed as a liar, enjoy :D.

What did I lie about? Please post it up!! I showed you the post where the guy reported the issues with the case and then he came back and said so himself. What else do you need? I have owned the case also, ready back through my post!! I am not lying about anything. Why don't you just admit you work for e13 and all this will be done!!

(Post 972) blah blah blah blah......The Vapor Pro just flat works....... more blah blah ........
This is post # 972 on this thread, quick!, go change it to match your story.

What did I lie about? blah blah...... you have a different opinion, so even though you have not posted an opinion about the electron S4, you must work for electron, blah blah ........... who cares about facts, Im the saint, so just take my word for it, blah blah......

The Vapor Pro does have GPS issues, according to multiple members on the vapor thread. Let me guess, they all work for competing manufacturers. :p And who uses the GPS anyway, buy a standalone GPS unit so you can enjoy the Vapor Pro

Well the e13 kills everything!! At least with the Vapor pro you don't lose 20 db's of signal. And my GPS works fine. The e13 is junk, period. I tried to buy one awhile back and they wouldn't even fill my order so that should tell you something! They already knew it wasn't working with the Verizon phone. Its Junk! Argument over!

New iPhone/new case!

Just purchased my first iPhone and ordered this case too.

I just have one problem... I'm going to want to get several color combinations!

hey guys, why is the hybrid case cheaper than S4 at $69.99 vs $84.99.
just puzzled cause i thought the hybrid was an improvement version so it would be more expensive...
sorry if i sounded stupid >_<

I think it's because it's not full aluminum and part acetal, maybe it's cheaper to produce?

would a red/black (matte) or red/black (polished) be nicer? or a red matte and black chrome?
>_<

I have a polished clear aluminum back for sale if anyone is interested.

Still waiting for my black chrome front to ship, it's already been over a week!
