It appears EA is now claiming this message was an error.
"Error" aka we pissed a lot of people off so now we are changing our position.

So... that's two devices.
I don't understand why so many people are upset about this. Ever since the DRM-market started they have been clear: purchased games can be taken offline. That's why I never buy games I can't physically put in my shelf, they are just long term rentals that one day will disappear or at least stop working.
And those games on a shelf are just rented until they get lost, damaged, destroyed.

This is the exact reason why I hate having everything digital. If I buy a CD, DVD or Game in a shop, I can have that for as long as I want. If I buy digital I have no idea when someone is going to steal it off me.
Shame on EA.
I doubt EA would have suddenly changed course based on negative user feedback -- they piss customers off ALL the time. I'm going to guess that Apple got involved. Either that, or it legitimately was a mistake that they sent the message out too early, but still plan to shut it down ____ time in the future.
Someone needs to learn how to take care of his stuff ...![]()
Similarly my NES, SNES and Mega Drive don't work on my new TV.
