Has anyone found a good pairing with IS/BSE

I am currently using a bumper with a bestskinsever skin (similar to InvisibleShield, only cheaper), and the combo is pretty nice. The look of the phone is not affected too much, and I still have some decent protection from drops with the bumper. Unfortunately, I am having a few of the same problems as others with car accessories and such, and I was wondering if anyone else has found any cases that pair well with InvisibleShield type products. Most of the cases I've tried other than the bumper have fit rather poorly with a shield on the phone.

Does anyone know which case is this? it looks like a speck case but it doesn't seem to be a speck case the grey stripe is on the headphone jack not on the corner.

I'm still waiting for the case that makes it loook like the 3gs so its less likely to be stolen :) You know like the one on the iPhone before gizmodo got it.

I guess it's already been said, but the ringer switch access using the bumper case is really really bad. You need to use your finger nail and it's not easy to do if you don't have long nails. The access on that above case picture is way better.
For now I am using a rear screen shield to protect it a little, with a black bumper.

Also, after trying 50 million cases for all the iphones, my last iphone 3GS case was the black perforated 3GS case. I have since come to the conclusion that since these phones tend to get hot, especially if in a parked car, that any case that covers over the back entirely is making it worse. The perforated cases help since they are, well, perforated and they are thin and light and have a good tactile feel. I'm waiting for incase to release their iphone 4 line and hope they update this one.

I don't get it. Why hide a beautiful design with an ugly cover? Why is it important to prevent scratches if you won't be able to see the phone anyway?

First, because I pay for the phone's abilities and less for its looks. Secondly, if I go to sell it, I can get more then if it is scratched and dented. I sold my 3GS for $270 because I kept it in a case. Third, I already have a .75" scratch on the back of my iPhone 4.

That would honestly be the sickest and classiest iPhone back, hands down.

Well, I know what Im going to be working on out in the shop one of these days.

I agree, I'm far more interested in cases that enhance the iPhone's design and maybe one that can add another, more luxurious dimension to it. I'm not a fan of all these 'overly durable' skater boy/surfer type cases that take something away from the actual phone. I doubt any of these people have nice watches, they'd be too afraid it would break or scratch. :|

How about a single slab of swarovski crystal or etched czech glass for the discerning lady...or even a 24ct gold bullion rectangle for the wealthy-but-dim among us :) It's all good...shame I don't have the means to produce any of it :(

I have to agree with the prior posters re. scratching. Glass is not easy to scratch. Do you worry about scratching a glass coffee table when you plonk your keys down on it?

This is why I'm using a bumper case with an open back. The rubber edges make it harder to drop the phone and the open back means less bulk. The steel band is more likely to pick up scratches than the glass panels anyway.

The only thing I don't like about the bumper is that the buttons rattle a little bit when you shake it. Makes it feel a bit cheap compared to the solid build of the phone itself. Also, it is a shame to cover that steel band. Naked, the phone looks amazing. Now, a clear rubber bumper, that would be awesome. I don't know what the technical barriers to such a bumper are - can you make rubber clear enough?

I and many of my friends have a glass table and just hate it. Doesn't stay clean for more than the 2 secs after cleaning. And scratches? I never put my keys on the dining room table and it has scratches that you can't initially see, but they do become apparent. Waiting for mine to crack, but looks like it's not going to happen.

BTW: I wear diamond earrings alot and yes, they do scratch glass quite easily. I have a protective film on the glass for just that reason.

Give it time, you'll have scratches.

I bought a GEAR4 case with my iphone 4 as it was the only case the O2 store had....

Its ok.... but definitely needs refining.

I think the hole for the flash on all the iphone 4 cases needs to be big enough to allow the flash to shine, yes the hole is big enough to see the flash but i get reflection off the rim of the case when taking pictures with my iphone in the case... basically leaving a huge white/yellowish circle on the left of all my pics taken with a flash....

I have been shopping around to see other case but they all seem to be in short supply!!!
Use a black sharpie on the inside edge of the case cutout. It eliminates the reflection and your pics will look great as they would without the case.

iFrogz Green Case - slim, no signal or flash problems

Also put a front screen protector. Got the iFrogz case from BestBuy (their website color photo looks flat and ugly - comes in pink too) Like it?

their cases are nice...until you try to take a picture using the flash. get ready for some green pictures. (I have the blue ifrogz case)

Incipio Silicrylic

I just got my Incipio Silicrylic, but I'm sending it back. It was okay, not as good as the 3G version. The sides have that rubber coated plastic, instead of the silicon on the sides.

I'm sending it back because the AT&T corporate store has the exclusive on two silicon cases with one plastic. I didn't know this! Lame, huh? I wrote a nasty email to incipio.com telling them that punishing a customer who's willing to go factory direct is stupid, and I'm returning it. I haven't heard back from them yet, but I'm headed to the AT&T store today.

I liked the naked look too until I dropped my phone and got a minor scratch on the front glass and a dented black corner edge. Promptly went out and got a temporary RocketFish case from Best Buy, but it really is a horrible loose fit. I have a bumper case on order. My reason for a case is for a better grip and protection. Also the signal issue is essentially gone, too.

Yeah, real men have naked phones. Good luck with that!

$30 for a bumper?
...really?
....can't wait for someone to reveal the mark-up on that scam

For a design flaw by Apple.

It's like saying: "Here, this VCR electrocutes you. You can either use a long stick to poke at it to get it to work (hold the iPhone 4 a certain way) or you can buy an $19.99 oven mitt to wear to use it w/out flaws (buy a $29.99 bumper for your iPhone 4).

Holly Hannah, just imagine if this were a non-Apple company asking you jump through such hoops!

I cover my iPhones to protect them. I am a busy person and when my iPhone is in all it's naked splendor I have to baby it. I dropped my iPhone 3GS and even in a case, the screen cracked and it cost me 200.00 to repair so into the otterbox it went. I got just a screen protecter and a clear plastic case for the 4 because I llike to be able to just throw it into my purse without worrying about it. For me, it just takes too much mental effort to keep it safe from scratches or moisture. I just know the time is going to come when I put it down in something wet or my kid does. It's too expensive to risk it.

I totally agree with Erwin.. it's just sad that Apple go to great lengths to make the iPhone 4 thinner and just as light yet people are determined to transform it into an unidentifiable brick.. some cases are pretty sleek like the Vapor but 99% just don't do the iPhone justice

You say that...until the first time you drop it. And you WILL drop it eventually.

yea, get a case, mine fell less than a foot off a bench and shattered the back. Just bought a 99 cent case from hong kong, haha, still waiting on otterbox to come out with their case!

Can i buy a glass back off of ebay and switch it out? would it work like that?

http://cgi.ebay.com/Original-iPhone...Accessories&hash=item3a5c683f50#ht_1159wt_913

Yeah it should.

Just unscrew the two screws at the bottom and slide your old back off and put on the one from ebay.

It would be fantastic if you could take pictures while you do so and post them on here.

I grabbed an Incipio case from the ATT store the day after my phone arrived early. Dont' know the product name but I wanted something to tide me over until the Otterbox cases come out (I work in terrible conditions). I'm quite happy with the case and am surprised how low profile it is. It isn't as rubbery as the silicone cases and it's more sturdy. Kind of a hard rubber.

The phone naked has somewhat sharp edges to hold. The bumper improves this, but I still find it a bit awkward compared to holding a smooth one piece case that covers the back. I'm going to try the case-mate "barely there case" while waiting for Incase to issue the perforated model for the Iphone 4.
