Anyone with a Verizon Phone see a ship notice?

Anyone with a Verizon Phone see a ship notice?

Not working!!!!

I ordered my my 4S as soon as apple open up, then it got reserved and i finished the order before 7:30am EST. and still nothing. this blows, it says it ready for shipment but the UPS and Fedex sites still say they cant find any order.

So I have a N00B question. I've never purchased an unlocked iPhone before, always subsidized. What would be the difference between an unlocked 4S, and buying a full price carrier locked one on day 1? I'm not eligible for an upgrade with AT&T until 2/12 but was wondering if I would be able to buy one at full retail price on day one, but just carrier locked. Also would it extend my contract if I do? I don't want to extend my contract, but would love to get the 4S on day 1. Also thinking an unlocked 4S would have a higher resale value, so I might just suck it up, and wait till November, UGH!

An unlocked phone can be used on any GSM carrier world wide by putting a new SIM in it, a locked unsubsidised phone is locked to the carrier that it's bought from and can not put another carriers SIM in and use it.

So in your case you could put a T-Mobile SIM in it in the US and if you travel any network in the country you are visiting if you had an Unlocked, if buy the locked version you will be stuck on AT&T.

Never got my shipment notice yet, here in Toronto.

Although, I ordered it at 3:30am on Friday, shipment is expected for October 14th, but today is Thanksgiving Day in Canada, so no mail is being shipped. Hope I still get it by Friday!

$650 but that's a guess, it's what I paid for my Sprint IPhone 4S with no contract extension.

Since the price will be likely on par with our Canadian prices since the dollar is pretty much par and Apple has adjusted their prices, the models go like this:

4S 16GB: 649
4S 32GB: 749
4S 64GB: 849.

These are Canadian prices for our unlocked phones right from Apple. US should see the same prices.

I am in California and i ordered through Apple within an hour of the launch. I just got a shipping confirmation last night. It says I wont recieve it till the 14th but I think I will get it before then.

No shipment notification, and no combination of phone numbers, phone number formats or zip codes shows me anything on UPS's site.

Still just says preparing for shipment, but it does say delivery by the 14th.

Ordered at about 2:45AM CT, as soon as Apple's site became available for pre-orders.

I was forced to change the address it is shipping to the day after the order, since Apple's site wouldn't let me edit the shipping address during checkout. Hoping that won't have a negative impact.

Damn I did the same thing. Has anyone gotten a shipping notice ordering from Apple.com? It seems the ship notices all came from ATT purchases. I changed my shipping address too. I would love my 4S early! Got a 64GB White

Is this "early shipping" only for US-citizens, or is there already someone outside the US with a shipping information as well? For me (Germany) there is still only 2nd stage "order processed" and no sign of "delivery prepared" :(

EDIT: I ordered via Apple store!

Have you tried looking on the Order Status part of Apple's website? I ordered my mom's through Apple but I didnt have to do the reservation thing, it just took me straight through. I looked today and it had a Track Order option.

With the 3GS orders they just held them at the warehouses until the correct delivery day. I think they changed the status to waiting for customs or something like that

Yes I ordered from Apple and got a tracking number. Check my post right above yours.

I ordered mind oct 7th at 9am pt and the sakes lady said it will arrive between 14-21 days :-(

iphone 4s shipment

mine just left hong kong...and UPS has it arriving on the 14th, ordered at around 3:45am est launch date. UPS is pretty accurate with their delivery estimation. Hopefully it won't be stopping in the west coast and going straight to somewhere in the east coast, so I might get a chance of getting it early. Can't wait!

iPhone 4s AT&T

I received an email at 6:23am from Apple saying my shipment is coming via UPS from Hong Kong and it says arrival 10/14 by end of day.

It's probably not being sent via postal mail in Canada is it? Most of the US orders will likely ship via FedEx or UPS or some other carrier.

It's a mail holiday here too. Columbus day. But that's not going to stop my shipment from leaving Shenzhen, China....

FYI, I don't think I had valid tracking info last time until Wednesday and it showed up on Thursday (a day early!)

Might I take this opportunity to FERVENTLY recommend Junecloud's Delivery Status OSX widget and iPhone app?

It allows you to track the status of orders from just about every service imaginable and is much better than obsessively compulsively refreshing FedEx or Apple. For Apple and Amazon orders, you can just put in your order number and it will automatically import all data and track it start to finish (and notify you when there's a change if you want it to).

Does anyone know if you can buy Applecare later after you buy the iPhone, like 2 weeks later for example?

If it's anything like the other AppleCare offerings, you can buy it any time until your initial warranty expires.

Valid question -- last time around, some couldn't activate their phones until launch day so couldn't use them.

My AT&T phone showed up a day early and activated immediately last time. It seems to me the activation problems were when they were deluged with activations the next day.

Even if they make us wait (doubtful) it means we've now got it first thing on Friday :)

To get it in our hands and not activate will piss people off for no reason, I do NOT see that happening. Besides that's just more people who have to activate the next day....

Thanks for the recommendation. I just downloaded it and love it so far. So easy to set everything up and it detected that my apple shipment was an Iphone 4S 16GB black. Pretty awesome widget.

EDIT: Now that I have messed around with it for awhile, my main complaint is that it doesnt auto-refresh. Or if it does, it doesnt refresh nearly as often as I would like. They need to add this option in the settings menu.

While it wasn't the launch of a completely new phone, we shouldn't forget those who got their Verizon iPhone 4 early.

My ATT ordered iPhone 4 arrived one day early, June 23rd 2010. While my iPhone 4S ordered through ATT is still showing pending, and was "backordered" since the order was placed, this is consistent with my iPhone 4 experience.

It wasn't looking good as Tuesday (6/21/2010) came and went, still showing "pending." But Wednesday (6/22) morning had great news, it had shipped via FedEx and showed a "June 23 by 3 pm" delivery date. It arrived at 2:40 pm on the 23rd, which was approximately 36 hours after it went to a "shipped" status.

I am hoping for a similar delivery with the iPhone 4S, Thursday before the official Friday launch. It made sense to spread out the activations after the painful (for some) activation experiences with the previous iPhones. And with all the events of this week- 10.7.2, iOS 5, iCloud, updated (iOS at least) iWork apps, etc.- it does make sense (to me) to get the iPhone 4S to early preorder folks on Thursday, if not Wednesday. ::grin::

Good luck to all!

I would LOVE to get my Iphone 4S on Wednesday haha. I ordered from Apple and it says my iphone left hong kong at 9:24pm Hong Kong time. If it is on a plane and lands in Oakland, CA(closest UPS hub near the water) I might get it on wednesday since I live nearby. I'm not counting on that though since thats a super tight schedule. I am willing to bet I get it Thursday.

In San Diego

I'm in San Diego myself and I received the exact same shipping info as you. Down to the last departure scan.

I am in California and i ordered through Apple within an hour of the launch. I just got a shipping confirmation last night. It says I wont recieve it till the 14th but I think I will get it before then.

"Chek Lap Kok, Hong Kong 10/10/2011 9:23 P.M. Departure Scan"

Another step closer!

I'm wondering if Apple struck a deal with UPS to NOT deliver before the 14th. I'm sure when you're shipping such a large order it's possible to make delivery demands. Such as "Don't deliver before the 14th". That doesn't mean a lot wouldn't still slip between the cracks and mistakenly get delivered, but I'm guessing (Just a guess) most of us will see our iPhones make it to our nearest distribution center and sit until Friday before it goes "Out for delivery".

Anyone have any actual information on this? Rather than my speculation?

Hmm Interesting. Every time I use AppleCare it gets sent with Canada Post. Unless they are going to be UPS-ing to me. That would be great if it did.
