Pending Shipment on AT&T

When I ordered the iPad 1 last year, I was in the second wave of shipment confirmations. I have no doubt my iPhone will get here on Friday because I bought it in the first hour via AT&T. Now that it says "Pending Shipment," we are good to go.

I just love delivery week. Millions of crazy Apple users waiting ever so impatiently for their new iPhones.:eek::eek:

Still preparing for shipment, however living in SoCal I figure the transit time is much less than anything east. I have ordered in the past and it ships and delivers in 2 days usually. Haven't missed a launch date yet.

I wouldn't get too excited if your status says "shipped." Like last year, they are going to be held until the 14th - maybe the 13th for some. I suspect the dates were staggered last time to avoid overloading servers, but I do not know that as a fact.

Thanks for the recommendation. I just downloaded it and love it so far. So easy to set everything up and it detected that my apple shipment was an Iphone 4S 16GB black. Pretty awesome widget.

EDIT: Now that I have messed around with it for awhile, my main complaint is that it doesnt auto-refresh. Or if it does, it doesnt refresh nearly as often as I would like. They need to add this option in the settings menu.

It refreshes pretty regularly, but yeah, that would be a nice option for the especially OCD among us. I think it's every 30 mins or an hour, but it may also refresh whenever you pull up the dash. And of course you can just click on the "Updated _________ at ______" at the bottom to force a refresh.

Once you set up your Junecloud login, the widget and iPhone app sync, so if you add, delete, or modify an item in one, it automatically applies the change in the other. The iPhone app is slightly more robust, showing you the full tracking status info in app and actually working with the map to show you where your package is and the distance to you.

I've been using the Dashboard widget for over a year and love it.

I just checked the status of my 4S, and it still says "Prepared for shipment". :( Still says "Delivers by Oct 14", though. Hopefully it will go out soon.

Yeah, I've got two AT&T white 64 gb going to Atlanta with the same status and delivery estimate. I reserved both on Friday at around 4:30 AM, and purchased around 9:00 AM.

Wife and I are upgrading from barely functional 3G models, so really looking forward to their arrival!

Damn I did the same thing. Has anyone gotten a shipping notice ordering from Apple.com? It seems the ship notices all came from ATT purchases. I changed my shipping address too. I would love my 4S early! Got a 64GB White

I ordered with Apple, and changed my address over the phone on Friday. My notification came in this morning. I would think you will be OK.

I changed mine over the website, which appeared to crash after I submitted the address change, but the address change has shown on the order status page ever since.

Crossing my fingers.

Edit: How the heck did you get Apple on the phone on Friday?? All I could get was a "we aren't taking any phone calls due to extreme call volume" message!

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8J2 Safari/6533.18.5)

I called AT&T a few minutes ago to ask the status of my order because it still states it as being processed and backordered. This is completely unacceptable for the fact that I placed my order on the 7th at 2:30am. They told me that it takes up to 48 hours to process. Is anyone else in AT&T Premiere experiencing anything like this? I don't want to lose hope, but I'm beginning to think that I've been screwed by AT&T... Damn! :(

T-Mobile (Germany) is also Shipping

Last entry "Frachtführer übergeben" means something like "handed to carrier".

I ordered my Iphone within the first hour of launch then went to bed and called apple at 9am to change my shipping address. I was put on hold for 10 minutes then was directed right to a customer service representative who changed my address immediately. They were very helpful and not too hard to get ahold of of Friday morning.

I tried that at about 10AM and couldn't get through for the remainder of the day. Boo.

I also didn't want to update my address over the phone, because I was concerned they might input it wrong.

I was able to call Apple at 2 AM Pacific time and got straight through to a sales representative, I was calling about the problems with online ordering, he was very patient and friendly, assured me they were working on it, and not to give up.. My fourth attempt to order online went through without incident, but I only got a reservation number, I got an e-mail telling me I had to complete the order by Saturday 5 PM.. I finally completed the order around 7 PM Friday.

I was concerned about that too but when I tried to update it online, that part of the store was down so I called. The customer service representative was super helpful and sent me a confirmation email showing the new address before I even got off the phone.

I called at about noon central time. I just kept calling. Took about 5 minutes of redialing before I got in without the hang up message. Getting it changed only took a few minutes after getting to a rep. The rep did mention that a lot of orders from the first few hours got stuck in the system when the back end crashed and that they were only slowly getting access to them. Luckly I ordered after 6am and mine could be pulled up when I called.

It appears that the orders being prepared for shipment through are all white. Where are the black ones? :-/

My iP4S black 16gig has a departure scan from HK now (as of 9:23pm HK time). I assume I'll see an arrival scan in AK tomorrow morning, and they will probably hold it for part of the day, ship to a hub on Wednesday night and then ship to ORD for delivery Friday morning - or so how I imagine it playing out.

Are you suggesting that those who ordered within minutes may be "stuck"? :-/ wtf

Mine has left Hong Kong and is on its way to the US and mine is a Black 16gb Iphone 4S ordered from Apple.com.

I ordered within the first hour or less of the launch and the CS rep had no problem accessing my order and mine has already shipped.

My guess is that they ship it from HK to the Oakland, CA hub then out from there. Just speculation though.

It shouldnt take that long to get an arrival scan since its being transferring via plane. I think we will see an arrival scan sometime tonight.

The difference is that I ordered through AT&T. The way AT&T is handling the orders is inconsistent. Most say not to worry, but I'm concerned that they are processing orders made during the day while my order was made within three minutes of availability, and I'm still without an update.

I think they go through Anchorage, AK first, if I remember from last year. The same thing happened with the package sitting in Anchorage for at least a day, then being flown to Louisville (UPS's international "world port" hub) and then delivered to regional hubs from there. If Apple didn't have as much pull as they do with UPS, I'm sure the phone could be delivered on Thursday, but UPS isn't going to want to jeopardize a big customer like Apple, by delivering early.

Oh, my mistake. I didnt read that you ordered through AT&T. I have been reading posts online about AT&T orders beginning to say "processed" instead of "backordered" now. My mom happened to also have ordered hers from AT&T and hers is still on backorder.

I think you are right about AK. I remembered my fathers iphone 4 last year came into Alaska then down to Oakland for his. I hope that is what my 4S does instead of going all the way to Louisville.

I'm calling AT&T as we speak. Different reps offer varying degrees of support. I'm hoping this one can tell me more.

Just got my shipment confirmation email from Apple. No news to report on the expected delivery date - still saying the 14th.
