Just make sure you buy from people who have high ratings (as close to 100% positive feedback as possible, and power sellers are good to look for) and use paypal and you should be fine.

the coupon which you gave works initially,but later when i sign into paypal at checkout,the discount isnt included.
one seller initially offered a 2 gig model for 1299 but later it was changed to 1375..isnt this ridiculous??
and how do some sellers offer to install office for mac for free??i am not able to convince myself to trust these sellers.some of my friends are suggesting me to me go thru apple/authorized only to be on the safer side ..

along the same lines... the seller refunded my payment claiming that after my payment his paypal account had become "limited" - his words. now ebay has my account as "has to pay for 1 item" (but i lost the $200). i am not sure if i trust the seller, maybe he decided after all to relist the item with a higher price, but i certainly don't trust paypal/ebay/live.com and it is possible that what the seller says is true.

I'm totally newb here, and I read about the live.com thing for ebay, so I went and bought an ipod touch with it. I checked out via paypal and everything. They sent me a message in ebay telling me to "click for cashback", but the link leads to the german version of ebay. Is this normal?

there is something wrong with those links in the email. there should have been a link to go to cashback when you payed. can you click back on the link to your receipt from ebay/paypal?
is it down again? i see the cashback links to ebay on live.com but no rebate when I checkout on ebay? is it working for everyone but not me?
You need to click the 25% link, and use it on a buy it now auction with paypal checkout only(no 3rd party). The rebate is also not instant. You pay it and get the money back later.
thanks i know all this. but like i said, once i "buy it now" on ebay i see no cashback anymore. is it down again or is it just me? i also cleared out my cookies

I got it working once today but not it's not. I got 25% off a LaCie backup drive but it's giving me less than 10% now. I've tried clearing cookies, using a different browser, and even another computer. No go. I guess I'll just call it a day.
