update: second live.com purchase, rebate was instant

I just made another ebay purchase using the live.com deal and the rebate showed up in my paypal account immediately:)

The rebate from the first purchase is still processing

In Paypal or in Live Cashback? Do you mean they suspended the 60 day waiting period before issuing the live cashback (to make sure you don't return the item)?

mine says 60 days <shrug>.
I don't mind paying 30.00 over amazon's price to get 145.00 back in 60 days.

hmmm whats the difference between the camera you bought and the hv 20?

hv20 is tape

hf100 is flash memory
hf100 is smaller/lighter

you'll have to search reviews so we don't get off track here :)

oh yea... thanks for this thread.

Yep. Just bought a unibody mbp for 1550 shipped with the live.com cashback.

Was the Cashback Logo still there when you were searching for the item. When I'm logged out the 25% Cashback logo is displayed but when I'm logged in it disappears.

Login first then go to live.com and make sure you have cookies enabled.

right. you need to do it this way i think. i went to live.com, logged in, did a search and then it was there. make sure the logo is there on the buy it now page and the next one too. In otherwords, it'll be on the last page before you actually have to pay.

Why are some eBay rewards deposited immediately?

When you make a purchase that is eligible for cashback on eBay using PayPal, PayPal might decide that your cashback reward is eligible for immediate deposit (see eBay's terms and conditions). For these rewards, check the PayPal account that you used to make the purchase, and see your cashback! For eBay purchases that are not rewarded immediately, your reward will be deposited automatically after 60 days to the PayPal account you used to make the purchase. If you decide to return your purchase with cashback that was rewarded immediately, PayPal will reverse the cashback reward.

Live.com and eBay - Feels like I'm stealing.

I just pulled the trigger on the NEW MBA 1.86 w/ SSD. Having loved my 1.8 w/ HDD for the better part of the year I decided I could bridge the gap until Rev B Nehalem circa January 2010. The OLD model will go to a much deserving person for Christmas/birthday.

$2049 shipped and technically no taxes! As opposed to $2698 shipped with taxes on Apple.com.

Apple LED 24" to arrive when it arrives :/

thanks. paypal is so wierd. I sold a macbook for 900 and got the funds immediately, sold a pci card for 120 and they are holding the funds

So whenever the cashback button appears on top of the eBay page, all the items you search on that page will be eligible for the cashback? Like, when you do the search, a lot of those items have a 25% cashback thing written next to them, yet a lot of them don't.

Will it apply to those who don't have anything written as well?

To answer your question, you could search for "Used Blow Up Doll" and buy a MacBook Pro. Once you click the link and it takes you to eBay you can search for whatever you want on eBay and take advantage of the Cashback.

Or you could buy a blow up doll, and get the cashback for that. Just wanted to throw that out there as another option.

No, you can use it as much as you want, you just need to do it separately each time. I've used it twice already :)
