it looks like it fits pretty tight as that inner section is milled to fit the metal band of the phone in there perfectly. I would still recommend use of a skin on the sides though.

Ya i use a sgp matte protector on the sides, as long as it fits tight, ill be ordering one when i get the email

True, it's not a full review, but how much of a "full review" do you need when you get a thumbs down?

Thumbs down is thumbs down. :p

yes,but it's like i said. The iphone 4 has gotten thumbs down too but I love mine and if you wanted to take it from me you would have to pry it out of my cold dead hands.

Still undecided but the screen protector in the photos really detracts from the quality appearance in the iLounge review. The edges of the screen protector appear to have lint or dust attached. Looking forward to some better photos. I am more concerned about signal issues than anything else.

As crappy as the photos are in the iLounge review, the final product looks exactly like the renders so I don't see how anybody could think any less of it. The price point wasn't aimed at the masses but it seems like the masses bought in to it anyways. I've spent more money on booze, blow and b*tches and have got nothing more than a hangover, nosebleed and some landmines to deal with the next day to deal with. $100 is a small price to pay for something unique.

landmines, haha love it. Been there, done that! Totally, I keep hearing about the price like 80 bucks is a lot of money or something. Dinner cost 80 + a new shirt is 80 bucks + Do you people live back in 1920 or something. It's 2010 going to the movies cost 60 bucks. My Iphone 4 was $800.00 and change with the taxes.

Mine just arrived.

It's missing the "built-in" sleep/awake button piece. So basically it's unusable. Well that is if I want to put the phone to sleep without letting it shut off on it's own.

I did opt for the carbon fiber add-on and confirm although it looks and feels like it's real carbon fiber you do have to stick it to the back of your phone. It won't stay in place on it's on. So if you like using more than one case, well you can't.

I've sent an e-mail to Element about the missing piece.

I'll have a video on my YouTube channel soon.

Apparently, you have some bucks to burn! :D

If the Vapor 4 case lives up to the hype, I don't have any problem laying out the $80 for it. But if it doesn't and there are other alternatives for less money that look better, don't negatively impact signal performance and cost less, I'm likely to take the latter route ;)

I've been known to shell out for stuff that has no function other than it looks good. I've matured some and come to realize that products that only look good and not much else quickly lose their appeal.

Hey mate, please post your video channel here. We would kill for a decent review. I am actually doing reviews myself, professional! Not iLounge-like.
I don't really think that's a review.
Igreenberg, think you can post couple of good pics? Maybe taken with the iPhone 4? :D I'd really appreciate it mate. ABout the missing piece, just email them, I am sure You'll get a response ASAP :) You'll work out the problem.
How's the carbon? I didn't quite understand how it won't stay in one place.
Is the adhesive that bad? :(
Thank a bunch mate.

I have nothing to add except I wanted to be the one to push this thread to 100 pages!!!!

Rats. Didn't work. That distinction now will go to someone else!

Lol... Sorry bro... Now I feel bad that I posted the link. I kinda wish I didn't read the review... Wasn't what I expected.

Good luck with that, they arent exactly "ideal" in their customer service response times.

Both yes and no. iLounge photos won't do Vapor justice, of course. They could have at least cleaned that phone before talking photos. BUT the renders on Element Case front page STILL shows their prototype design for headphone jack cutout (covering the noise cancelling mic). Sleep button too seems to have a different design.

I guess there's just no point repeating the fact that Element Case sucks donkey balls in updating their website. It's been more than a month now.

Say, just for the sake of argument... I just found out about this thing today. I go to their website, hoping to find more info. What do I get? 45 days old prototype renders that do not represent the final design of the product at all. See my point now? (mind you, this would have been illegal if they were a UK based business -- to advertise one thing and sell something else!)

Oh well, nobody cares at this point, really. It's been discussed a billion times over the last 100 pages or so. Nobody here is going to wait for them to update their website any more. All we can look forward to is user reviews. Hopefully, they'll be all over the place in by the end of this week.

I totally agree. I have yet to see anything out there that caught my interest like this case. If it does hurt signal than I will have to send it back and consider something else. I research everything I buy but in this case haha I had the same to go on as all of you. I consider everything I buy an investment and I resell everything. I sold my 3GS for 300 and my 3G for 200
and that took care of the cost of my new IPhone 4 an It's totally unlocked and i didn't need to sign any contracts. So this phone should fetch 500 next year because it can be used anywhere in the world and cover most of the cost of the IPhone 5. Not burning money, more like getting the best of both worlds for the same price;)

I'm pretty sure Random is a Bro-ette :D

I've found iLounge reviews to be fairly on point with my opinions of all the cases thus far and have not noticed any inherant bias towards/against any particular brands. That being said, they kinda stopped on the full fledged reviews awhile back and primarily provide just the 'First Looks', which isn't so much of a review and more of a first impressions/quick usage. They do it for all the cases now, so this is not a unique type of review from them.

That being said, the impression iLounge of the case gave did not seem good by any means. Good looks but impractical.

Somebody post some dammm pics already. I would trust a review from one of you guy's more than a review site who didn't even bother to review it.

I didn't buy one but looking at the pics all I can says is "$100 for THAT!" I'd rather spend the $100 on 12 or 13 elcheapo eBay cases. :) At least that way I'd have 12 or 13 things to bitch about instead of just one! :D Wait! That is exactly what I did!

Sweet mother of gawd someone post some more pics of this thing. What? Do you people actually work?

d00d where r teh pictores?????

Seriously though, where are the pictures of this case? Quiero mirar! (I want to see!)

I change my mind, I dont trust the iLounge review, how can they review the case when the only think Element sent them was a "render?"

i dunno bout you guys, but that case is HAWT! Those pictures do the case justice, it looks good!

glad i got black black though. Can't wait to get this case on my phizzone :D
