Something like the Ivyskin Reception case (current thread in this sub-forum) as I really like the design of the 4 (leaving aside antenna issues).

However, I was not impressed with the general reception to Ivyskin's cases last year on this forum.

I like the clear polycarbonate. Had a Contour for my 3Gs... However, it's hard to find one that actually covers the front of the phone on the top and bottom.. seems most are going with the bumper edges only.

I get your point there. One other thing and that is do you know of any clear polycarbonate cases that actually stay clear and still look good after say a couple of months of use? There was an iSkin clear case which apparently looked very good but became discoloured after a while and was withdrawn.

The contour I had stayed perfectly clear. What I didn't like was that if you had it in your jeans pocket while outside working you could see the sweat caught between the phone and the case. I know it's disgusting, but was always afraid to use a belt clip thinking I would snag it on something. Maybe the Otterbox Defender is a little more sweat-proof? Looking into that one. Seems like it might turn the phone into a huge brick though. Also, the polycarbonate slides in and out of your pocket easily unlike some of the rubberized materials.

Nobody has still received it right? So they definitely lied by saying they are shipping?

What do you expect with a name like Vapor?

On the other hand you could order from Vaja, be unable to get any refunds before or after you receive your product, and have experiences like this one that I copied from the Vaja thread:

FROM THE VAJA THREAD: "All I can say to those who have ordered is I hope for your sake the iPhone cases come faster then the iPad ones.

I placed my order on May 24th when the wait was listed at 30 days for custom order. An email yesterday to customer service puts the ETA for delivery at closer to 75 days.

Its been a long painful wait. I sure hopes its worth it."

I bet they realized there are big signal attenuation issues and are trying to figure out what to do

I tried making a bumper out of aluminum foil 4 layers thick wrapped around a gelli tpu case and lost no bars. I don't know how many layers of you would need to approximate the thickness of the vapor, however, or if that would even be a valid test.

1 layer did it for me... no bars

I think people would be happy just seeing a
Shipping notice. It's clear that no one
Has gotten their order yet. They did say that they will be down a week to make adjustments to their production process. We should see shipping notices by Monday based on their email. If not than they clearly weren't able to fill orders as they predicted and it might be time to go with plan B.

This threads went mental....I've ordered an Ivyskin to bide me over until this vapor(ware) comes out....

I know some people think it's crazy... but try it. Take a sheet of aluminum foil, place your iphone 4 on it and fold up the edges. Maybe I'm in a low signal area but I'd be interested to know what happens to others.

I assume you have had a look at this thread? People also going mental about cases allegedly having been "shipped"

https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/971644/

Clearly we aren't the only guys having issues. Like i said in a previous post. If tracking info is sent out and it's doesn't jive than there is a bigger problem than a company being overwhelmed with orders. If a company lies to it's customers to buy time than you should talk to your cc company or pay pal about getting your money back.
This seems to be what Ivyskins is doing based on the posting.

Metals were up today ... get one before the price hike!

Boy you people are being taken for a ride, no case, no emails, no communication at all. 500k is a lot of money I bet this company is making a good bit in interest on your collective pre-order money.

I love when I hear stories that people called and the employee who Anderson asks for the order number, when supplied no matter what is given (1-100000) the response is "oh yours is in the batch to be shipped next week."

Hahahahah

Just put the Zagg IS on my iPhone 4 today, I can honestly say it sucks, does anyone think I should remove it after I get the Element Vapor case? Even the front protector?

Zagg sucks and they have very bad costumer service. You should of bought SGP or PhantomSkinz. SGP are the best, after all this time they still haven't changed their materials, i mean choose cheaper ones...
Even BSE are better than Zagg.
I think when you get your Vapor you should remove the Zagg and buy another protector. I am so jealous of all of you who ordered this wonderful case. I am a student and this iPhone 4 costed me a lot so i can't throw around with money a lot :) Though I'd buy it in an instant.

Yeah man I know, I just got the Zagg because I got a 50% off code and needed somethin quick to temporarily keep my iPhone scratch free. Thanks for the thoughts though :D I may go with a SGP Ultra Clear.

Anyone talk to Element today? Tried to call them twice, but got the stupid voice mail lady. I ordered on the 4th, and hopefully my order will ship next week so I can return this crappy Zagg and get a SGP for the front.

When i first started looking into the iPhone Zagg looked like the best choice with all that advertisement! but now i see that SGP is the best. Even cheap skins like BSE are better.
What do you think about that leeb guy? could he be an employee or just a guy who got his case?

I don't think he's an employee since in the post he stated one of the employees on the phone was rude somewhat.
