Element Vapor Case

I've bought all 4 models of IPhone as soon as they hit the shelf and this is the first year I'm not concerned about the next gen. I might change my tune in June but I can't see what at this point is gonna make me spring for another 800 bucks.
The big improvements I wanted all a long was a usable camera/ camcorder and this year they finally pulled it off. I'm really curious to see what Google is going to have on the market next year..............Yes, I said the G word! I most likely will never buy a G Phone but I like them chasing Apple and making them step up their game. Who knows, next year we may be allowed to hold the phone anyway we want and it may come in more than one colour. :D
 
You can't tell me that if they come out with a bigger screen and some other key features that you wont jump on it!! I know you better than that, I will bet you money they will have something with the new iPhone that will make you jump on it too. Haha. Just wait and see.

I'm actually kinda feeling like you now too. I don't really see anything that would make me want to upgrade to the next iPhone right away, and I've bought every iPhone on launch day as well. The screen can't get any better at this point, the data speeds are fine and AT&T wouldn't have an LTE network ready to go for a few years, even if the new iPhone is LTE capable. So I think I can actually hold on to this phone for a full 2 year run and be happy. I do have a Nexus One in my desk drawer, so I can experience the next major version of Android OS (Gingerbread, I believe). But all the ways I can think of improving the iPhone (for me) are currently things that would be software based, not hardware. I really don't need the hardware to be any faster at this point. The only thing that I can see needing faster hardware (in the future) are games, and I don't do too much serious gaming on a 3.5 inch screen. And I really don't think I'd want the screen too much bigger. I've toyed around with the 4 inch Android beasts in BestBuy, and they are just too big for what I want as a phone. I'm sure Apple will eventually move to that screen size, but I'm betting that they stay with this same basic design for the next generation iPhone to get maximum return on investment of the initial manufacturing set-up costs.

HAHA, I don't doubt my willingness to up grade and spend money on cool stuff. I might very well be in line next June again. Just saying I don't know what they can do this time around to suck me in . maybe a cheese grader :)

This is true but the prices have come down for the most part. $300 that some of those people were/are asking is outrageous. Paying around 150 though isn't too bad of a price. I just bought an AR15 that I have been wanting for around 160. This was going to be what I actually ordered in a week. That premium isn't too bad considering I don't have to deal with Element at all.

Personally I don't have the reception issues that people seem to be having. My GPS is a little off but I never use it. Cell and data fluctuates the same with or without the Vapor on.

Anyway, just my thoughts.

I still think the Original price of $80.00 was more than fare for any of Elements cases, because no matter what, the Vapor case is still going to effect the signal of at least one of the phones features.

Also, it shouldn't come down to paying a premium for a case just to avoid dealing with the company that makes it. The company needs to work a little harder at setting up better customer service and possibly order a few more machines to boost manufacturing if they fall behind, rather than just ignoring customers and holding onto funds when they don't have product ready to ship for "Months" out.

I'm over this case, before I even got my hands on it! Maybe I'll give the company a second chance in the future if they fix their customer service.

I spent an hour filing down the dock connector end of my car-charger and only then did I realize that the other end was just a standard USB plugged into the charger, so I could have used a spare Apple-brand charging cable. Oh well.
 
I have a brand new ar15, never opened for sale. I have two, one on my phone and this other one. Comes with Carbon Fiber also. Best offer takes it.
 
AR15 and Frost just arrived!

Just recieved my two cases. Ordered on the 28th and on the eastcoast. Was way quicker than what i have been reading.

The demand for their cases is dropping off. They look nice but hurt signal for many. Try the gps with yours and let us know how it works out.

My GPS is terrible, but every aluminum case I have used to far has been except today I got the new Orange Raw and that one is about 90 Percent accurate as Element might be 60-75 at best. The only thing element has is their looks period. Besides that, their customer service sucks, they suck as a company and unless you modify the hell out of the case, it hurts performance. Some more than others but still. I wouldn't piss on their building if it was burning down, that's what I think of them but damn their cases are sharp looking. That's about all I can say about that company.

Update

Well I finally had time to test the Frost case out. To start, I had an alumacase case with my iphone wrapped in lucky labs texture wraps. With the alumacase my GPS signal was horrible. Signal and 3G dropped slightly. I returned it the next day because of the GPS. I tested it out with the Frost and texture wrap GPS worked way better than the alumacase. It is a tad slower to get the GPS working than without a case, but it works so that's what matters. As for signal and 3g, there is slight degradation but not serious.
 
I heard some mixed reviews

Seems like a great concept and looks pretty sleek, but a case is all about protection especially for the 2 panes of glass Apple has blessed us with. This would not do justice if the phone took any kind of fall on the concrete.:eek:
 
Finally got my AR-15 from them today. I gotta say, I've gone through multiple cases from these guys and even though it destroys my signal it's the first one I wanna really keep.

The finish on it is stunning. I may just keep it to have a collection.

Sadly though the mailman didn't deliver on any of my other products.

My phones worked ok with vapor , but last week some important text messages from my wife's phone did not go through. That's when I decided to unload all of them.

There is a manufacturer in china who is going to release a composite vapor soon, similar to atomic composite. Hopefully they won't hurt signal, because they do look nice. I am using the apple bumper once again, and I hate it!
 
So far so good at home. Normally I get around 3 bars and I'm still getting that (field test mode puts me in the same range as without the case), made a couple phone calls and all is good. Data speeds on 3G and Wifi are comparable to those without the case. And I have to say that I really like how it looks. The only issue is the GPS which sticks me one street over and a couple houses down. Biggest test will be how the thing holds up during my commute and when I'm at work so we'll see tomorrow.

did you guys get a tracking number before you received ur cases? I was told mine would go out on Monday but I haven't got anything except a status update to "Awaiting Shipping".. :(
